But was pressed for time and managed to grind them out. Video of 320: So, the end of another good week and I feel pretty good. Can't ask for much more than that. Thanks, fellows! All your support is very much appreciated and I know it helps.
Oh, and Pull I got my clean form almost all the way back. I'll be creeping that up now so I'll video a few and you can see how I'm doing. I just love doing power moves before sessions! It gets me really fired up, and I think the increased morning circuits is helping me keep from getting so sore and tightened up so I head into sessions later in the day a lot more mentally ready to go. And finally a good Bench day! I was thinking all weekend about how my bench has been languishing lately for one reason or another. But, today I just said I'm going to do it and I did. Moved the bar faster on the descent on these too and I think that helped these as well. Duh, I am better overall when I get the bar moving quickly, but I was respecting these weights so much I was just grinding and going nowhere. Now, I feel like I got my mojo back with everything. Seriously, I might have hit that first 240 for a double if I had that in mind going in. Anyway, Monday, week 8 Morning circuit: 10 reps everything Warmups: 15 reps of everything, as well as the usual shoulder stuff Full cleans to OH press: 10x bar, 65 done very fast, pressing as I was coming out of the front squat. Bench: 10x bar, 65 8x 95 5x 115, 135, 155 3x 185 1x 205, 225 5x 1x 240 (PR +4 reps) 5x 5x 190 (+5 lbs) ss w/ Hi Machine Rows 5x 10x 180* BB Rows: 5x 10x 135** ss w/ 5x 12x 30DB Arnold Presses *Did these in place up pullups to give my elbow more time to heal. I like them! They feel like a pullup almost, but not as bad on the elbows. **was going to raise this weight on Rows, but doing them today after those Hi rows was plenty hard! I do need to raise my strength with rows, though. Squats tomorrow. I'm expecting good things. We'll see. |
