The Bearded Beast of Duloc
Only 12 days away from my 44th birthday. I am bigger, stronger, and in many ways healthier than ever before. But there is one goal I have yet to achieve that needs to be knocked off the bucket list: shedding the excess fat and revealing what's underneath.
2007 was the last time I was around 220. Since 2008 that time I have spent most of my days around 270-275. I am still going to train for strength, but I am also tired of being labeled "just a powerlifter." It's time for me to reveal just what big eating and heavy training have done for me, and that's what I plan on doing. I am going to make every effort to detail training, food and supplements, as well as weight lost. |

Workout Time: 42 minutes Workout Grade: A- Been staying up too late this past month and sleeping has been very sub-par. I need to change that. Still nursing some lingering bench strains, and fighting a battle with back pumps, so I decided to train arms today. It's been a while since I did an arm beat down. Focused on incline close grip bench presses and dumbbell curls and really had an amazing pump. My right arm taped 20.25" post-workout which is a new personal best. Left arm is still 3/4" smaller. Been taking taurine the last 2 days to try and fight back pumps. It seems to be working. I had a slight back pump but it dissipated about 3 sets in. My shoulders are still susceptible to brutal pumps but I really don't mind. I can squat with shoulder pumps. Diet & Supplements --5 scoops of IsoFuel throughout the day. --Allmax Taurine - approx. 2 grams in each IsoFuel shake. Tonight's dinner will be bratwurst and spinach with butter and parmesan cheese. Will limit this to 1500 calories, and save 300 for a snack later tonight. Total calories = 2300 Workout Incline Closegrip Bench Press Alternating sets with curls. 135 x 10 x 10 Standing Dumbbell Curls 35's x 10 x 10 |
