One thing I did forget to mention was that the barbell felt fine at the olympic standard height which I've never deadlifted at before due to all my plates being much smaller than the 45cm dia ones.

So, that did surprise me a bit.

Great looking deadlifts KG, especially with that little hiatus.

I also use those close-ended/old school straps. Love 'em. Made them myself too, but I'm sure yours look and perform much better than mine. The only thing holding mine together are a few pieces of electrical tape, hehe.

Yep, the straps look good but I have some seatbelt material that I want to get a set made up from in the next couple of days; I figure since the stitching is only to hold the ends together for ease of use, they don't need much stitching especially since linear straps have none at the ends...that's my theory anyway.

Thanks Steve

Sometimes, I felt I would NEVER manage the 20kg with the left arm but I persevered toward that goal nevertheless; now on to establishing it as a regular thing and then onward and upward to the 24kg

Also got some nice bruising on my upperarms through the recovering of the 1/2 lifts and pushing the reps at times...hubby says it makes it look like some guy has had his hands on me and worries that people may think he has been "battering" me...a bit like when I had stitches in my eyelid, the amount of nasty looks he got was amazing and totally uncalled for...oh well. Bruising comes with the territory, sometimes.

KB Jerks:
10 x 8kg R/L
10 x 12kg R/L
10 x 16kg R/L

A nice basic pattern is starting to emerge on my written logs, with regard to reps and weightloads of the KB jerks. It stands out more on paper because I have it written in column format for weightloads, so it sort of resembles a poll when viewed.
