Bench Press 20x15 60x5x2 sets 80x3 100x3x2 sets 120x3 135x3x10 sets This was a looooooot of sets. It was weird feeling the peaks and troughs as the sets progressed, from stiff and sore, to warm and primed, to exhausted, to ready to really attack those last few sets. No real trouble with any of them, but the sheer number of sets started to take its tole after a while! Cable Curl 16x12 16+5kgx10 16+10kgx8 16+15kgx6 Felt exhausted after the benching, but just wanted to finish with a little something. I was going to do back work today, but looking at tomorrow's session I decided that wouldn't be a great idea. I'll probably do it on Thursday or Friday. Pretty good session, I guess 10 sets on a single exercise is pretty solid! That's the first cycle of the bench Smolov Jr. done, now I go back to 6x6 on Thursday, except the all the weights for the work sets go up by 5kg for each day.

Haven't updated this in a couple of days, for no other reason than I've been lazy, so here goes:
30/11/11 Squat 20x10 60x5x2 sets 100x3x2 sets 130x3 160x2 180x1 195x3 Much easier than the doubles on Monday, I think because I warmed up better and with a better progression. The 180 felt like nothing at all so I went into the 195s feeling confident and I nailed it. Bring on the 5 tomorrow... Deadlift 60x5x2 sets 100x3x2 sets 140x2 180x1 200x1 220x1 235x1 250x0 The warm-up sets felt really good and they were flying up, probably some of the fastest warm-up reps I've done, but as I neared 200 it started to get harder and there was literally no way 250 was even getting off the floor! I'm blame that mofo Smolov for that! Really want that 260 soon, but it will have to wait! Hang Clean 20x5 40x3 60x3x3 sets 80x3 80x1x2 sets Yeah... not sure I'm a big Oly lifting fan, for myself personally. Still, was nice to do something different. 01/12/11 First day of December! And with it came a ridiculous bench session. A dude who works at a nearby supplement shop and trains at the gym I work at gave me a couple of samples of a pre-workout stimulant and, naturally, I tried it today. Along with some caffeine pills of course... Because I'm awesome/retarded like that. I was buzzing and tingling like a beast! Never had a feeling from a stim quite like that! No idea if it really benefited what I lifted because I would've hit them anyway, but it inspired me to do a crazy 2 and a half hour session. Shall be intruigued to see if they help when going for a 1RM. Bench Press 20x15x2 sets 60x5x2 sets 80x3 100x3x2 sets 117.5x6x6 sets All pretty easy. Push Press 20x10 60x5 80x3 100x1 60x5 (guys I usually train with came in) 100x1 105x0 80x8 CGBP 20x15 60x10 100x5 120x3 130x2 Bench Press 140x1 Yeah, don't ask... I've got to bench again on Saturday!
