For your entertainment, here's a rough cut of the European Championships I made. Ignore the watermark in the middle, blame my friend's video camera and its stupid proprietary video format that Avid doesn't like. Just converted it using the first piece of free software I found and it left me with that... dammit. Tried to use Handbreak, but it does it file by file whereas this software let me dump everything in it to convert. Never mind, enjoy...

Awesome, going to have to remember that mate! Get t-shirts made up or something...

Thanks mate, I'd be more than happy to! I really want to do a full training music video like the ones that EliteFTS make. That would be pretty sick.

Just need to borrow Matt's video camera and find decent file conversion software. My camera uses tapes which is fine until you realise my laptop doesn't have a Firewire port... so it makes it all a pain. Still, might be worth it.
Anyway, I want to ask mate - I'm trying to put together my plan for the worlds and I want your advice. I've done the basic structure, I think you roughly know my routine so I wont write it out here, but I'm just wondering what you reckon in regards to the specifics to the cycling. I've done all my heavy singles for a couple of weeks so I need to decrease the weight and do triples and doubles. So for squats should I do something like box squats for three weeks, band squats for three weeks and then regular squats for the last three weeks, choosing to go for a max single, double or triple on each session? I guess that's the rough idea behind Westside, but I'm just wondering how best to cycle it all. Bench I have a rough idea of what I want to do, which is easier as the ME work is split over two sessions, giving me time to work on both the top and bottom of the press. Deadlift I have the same concerns as the squat. Any ideas and concepts would be muchly appreciated mate. And anyone else who's reading this.

Cycling seems like a good idea but for a RAW lifter, I don't think JUST doing box squats for 3 weeks is good. So I'd alternate all three in 3 week cycles: Bands, Box, Free. As for deadlifts I'm a firm believer in less is more. I'm pulling heavy once every 2-2.5 weeks and it's working great. I would alternate dead stop doubles/triples from the floor with speed work (and maybe power cleans) and block or rack pulls from your sticking point (which I think is quite high for you).
As for cycling the rep's I would run a basic progression from triples down to singles. I would hit a week of heavy singles (circa second attempt) then look to pull an opener 2 weeks out, squat opener 10 days out and bench a week out. I would also start scaling back on your volume either drastically at a month out or gradually from 6 weeks out. LtL
