You'll get those 4 deadlift reps back next time and likely more! Your obviously smart as you are strong. Nice work on the PC's as well - 175 lbs is getting right up there to about your BW is it not?

160kg: 3 x singles
140kg: 8 x singles
Made a balls of this. Should be looking for 15 singles not 10. 160kg felt shite and there was a danger of injury so I chose 140kg to get in some decent reps in the time I had left. Live and learn!

Pendlay rows
70kg: 7 sets of 5 = 35 reps. 5 above target

B/W Chins
5,5,5,4,4,4,3 = 30 reps. On target!

Plank
50 secs, 30 secs
smart working Kuyt ... And as far as your 2013 goals are concerned, all of them are very much achievable ... great going kuyt ...

Thanks mate. Yes, it just didn't 'feel' right @160kg. Sometimes it's best to let it slide and drop weight as necessary. I could have ground one a couple more singles but I wanted to get in the work.

Thanks Alan. There's something about lifting 2pps off the ground explosively and lifting it overhead, while keeping it there for a few seconds with a stupid satisfied grin on your face that appeals to me

Thanks Jim. Actually, for the next cycle I will focus on getting 15 reps in 10 minutes @140kg. I need to become inured to the process of ripping a single, standing up, resting a few seconds and ripping it up again! Yes, the cleans were less than 10 pounds below my bodyweight. My PR in cleans is 193 but I weighed 205 at that time.

Thanks Ravi. But unlike last year, I'm not going to let those numbers dictate my training. I'm just going to focus on progress and ultimately, I'll get to or near those numbers in the process.

Weighed in at 186.2 (84.5kg) this morning I reverted back to IF for the last 6 weeks or so, working an absolute treat. This morning is the first time since my teens where I stood side on and my stomach was not beyond my chest!!! Area around midsection is now 85.5cm (and I'm being strict here) On 21 August when I began, I was 207.4 and 97cm around the midsection so that's 21.2 pounds and 11.5cm trimmed from my middle in around 17 weeks.

Spectacular fat loss Kuyt!! And still going strong with the iron.

I have been thinking about doing IF as I would also like to drop around 20 lbs as I think I would look pretty good at 210.

Thanks guys, the mini wins keep me going even though I love my food and it is hard to be disciplined sometimes.

Cycle 2 Week 1 Shoulders Strength Dec 21 2012
Was hoping for an apocalyptically good session today and wasn't far off it

Really unusual feeling where my legs felt weak and I felt hungry and tired. Then I lifted the weight and you'll see what happened below.

Push Press
75kg(165) 6 sets of 3 - Equal PR x 6 Pretty sure 1-2 sets of 3 @75kg was my previous PR and that was when I was 8-10kg heavier. Thought I was done after set 3 but sets 4+5 were the best of the lot. Final set was grind city but it got done.

Seated DB Curl
17.5kg: 10, 8, 6 - 24 reps, +1 from last time

Seated DB Press
22.5kg: 10, 9, 7 - 26 reps, +1 from last time

Hammer Curl
22.5kg: 10, 8, 7 - 25 reps

Upright Row
27.5kg: 12, 10, 8 - 30 reps, raise weight

Reverse Curl
27.5kg: 3 x 8 - 24 reps

Plate Raise
15kg: 10, 6, 10 - 26 reps No clue what happened on set 2!
