I did not run the typical 20 rep squat programs, I think squatting that much is not the best way to go for a lot of guys. I think it's the reason that so many people burn out so quickly on 20 rep squat routines. I incorperated 20 rep squats into a push/pull routine. So I was only 20 repping three times in two weeks.
When I started 20 rep squatting my max was 100 lbs for 10 reps. I finished the year squatting 300 lbs for 20 reps. Also, my bodyweight went from 165 lbs to 200 lbs. It was a night and day difference and I am so glad I did it.
