I'm not sure what you mean about the 575 Mike You lifted it so it's a PR

So your deadlift will involve starting at say 515-520 and going up in 10 pounds increments for 5 reps. You should end each day close to a PR. Get after it! That template looks brutally tough, smoke it!

My thoughts as well. Did you mean form was bad? With that said, it is a good thing you have very high standards for yourself.

If it went up its a PR, even if only a gym one and your progress lately is insane. Setup looks good, similar to what I'm veering to.

575x1 A two light lift if that, would like to say a 10 pound PR, but don't feel right about it.
That's how many near maximal reps will be. Learn to embrace it. things can get sloppy on those singles. They are good fodder for learning. Form can always be fixed. Strength is harder to come by.

Thanks Kuyt, what I mean about the deadlift is I think I may have hitched a bit. If I'm not 100% sure I won't count it.

It's a basic idea but high rep DL have always worked well for me. I started it today and it was a little brutal.

Thanks, and if I'm not 100% sure on form I won't count it.

Thanks J, I could count it as a hitched PR! I like the look of my routine too.

Thanks BtB, and this one was very sloppy!

6/12/12

Bench Press Pause
320x1
320x0 Got it past all my sticking points, but just couldn't get either elbow to fully extend
300x2
300x1
300x1

2-board Press
330x1 very easy
330x0 not even close, looked at clock and didn't have time to rest and try again

Chinups
60x7
60x5
60x5

Barbell Curl
45(just the bar)x40

Pushups
BWx40

Walk
5-8 miles

Notes: Felt pretty good on bench, just a little steamed I couldn't finish that second rep.

Got the idea for the empty bar curl from another website and really loved them, have never had such an arm pump.

The reason for the confused miles on walk is that I'm working with a transport team(guys who push the wheelchairs and beds) at the hospital every tuesday through summer from 8-3:30. They say that on average they walk about 8-10 miles a day, but today was a very slow day.

Also very sorry again for not updating in anyones' log but a few things have come up and I just can't be on here as much, will try to get everyone at least 1-2 times a week. I can't make any promises though, because I'm pushing the time right now.

Benching still looks strong, and the chin ups too! And don't worry about the logs, believe me, I know how it goes.
