Good that you're learning to ignore some of those signs and just move iron. Fatigue, fogginess, sluggishness, feeling weak and unmotivated...usually don't mean much but it's something you can't teach. You'll notice over the coming years that many inexperienced lifters deload for the wrong reasons.

I pull back from strains, pains and minor tweaks. And of course when I am really sick or my CNS is noticeable dysfunctional.

I'm really liking banded bench, I like how it help me be a lot more explosive off my chest but still adds a lot of weight for my lockout.
I need to get with the program and try these.

I was just looking at the post where you detailed your progress since you swapped to proper strength training. Amazing -it took me years to make those sorts of improvements.

Those axle clean and press are impressive -is that a strict press or push press?

Thanks BtB trying to learn more every week!

Also haven't been doing banded long enough to tell a difference but they are really fun to try and a little different to get used to.

Thanks tan, I'm hoping to keep the momentum as long as possible.

The first rep or two is somewhat strict, by the last single it is full on push press.

Notes: Once again the do not listen to your body, came in feeling awesome, just woke up from a 4 hour nap, had a huge meal, and just all around in a good mood. By the end of the day, feel like crap and mad at my squat and log performance.

Not much to say about squats, everything just felt heavy. Kept tipping forward, need some for core work. All I wanted was 3 reps today, since last week I got 5 with ten pounds less. That just wasn't happening today.

Last week I got 8 easy singles with 10 pounds less on log c&p, this week couldn't even get two with just 5 pounds more. It seems like one week I will do great great with these, then the next have a less then sub-par day.

Started raining so couldn't do Farmers, thats why I did all the singles.

Looking forward to reading about it.

Maybe a bad session but you still got some great work in. Those squats are strong especially getting the 3 10's after all that. Do you go beltless for the higher rep squats?

How are your eccentrics feeling MAB? Are they a real slow grind right now?

Thanks J, I had planned on going beltless but because I had already leaned forward quite a few times I didn't want to get pinned with 295.

To a certain extent, they are coming out of the hole but once I get a little more then half way up the speed comes back.

Notes: I feel like this is something to note this morning. After lifting I came inside to eat and update my log, nothing out of the ordinary. When I tried to go to sleep I just couldn't, started trying around 3:30 and didn't fall asleep till around 5:30 and woke up this morning around 10:30.

Not sure if it has to do with the nap, food, or lifting. I just felt like that was something worth writing about for future reference.

30 mins of sprinting, not as fast as normal. With the little sleep I wasn't expecting much though, still pretty sore.

Nice job, Imp. Get some solid sleep. That'll help.

BTW, your bad days are days some people dream about. Just a thought there pocket hercules.

Presses are cruel. Go get it next time.
