Good to hear your ankle is healing!! I shattered mine at 17, surgery again at 22, never been the same since, but I didn't do all the rehab work I was supposed to, though (young and stupid). Now it only bends 30% and aches whenever the barometer drops.

Just saying, you sound like you're being a lot smarter about recovering! Hope you come back 100%. I'm very impressed so far.

Keep up the good work.

I feel great mentally. I hope I don't have to get another injury for a break from work to be with my family but it been a nice time at home with them for the last 3.5 months . It will still be a month or so before I'm back working on a boat but I will be working in the office in about 2 weeks.

It's still very stiff, I'm hoping physical therapy takes care of that.

I am back. I have still been doing the Reeves classic physique routine for the past 20 weeks but squatting only for the last 5 weeks or so. Before I could squat , I was doing single leg squats holding on to my rack for balance but now the good leg is back in action but down on strength. I am also starting lighter to build the ankle back up.

copied from my log on m s. is fridays log, gives an idea of my changes.

week 20, day 3

I dont think I can take any more high reps for a while, im drained of energy lately. Maybe its the cutting phase, who knows but stick a fork in me.

Squats
135x12+1
145x12+1
155x12+1 Had to finish these to move on to new program

dead lifts
165x5+10 lbs
195x5 +10
245x5= +30 lbs Felt great, I did use under over grip just to make sure that was not an issue.

Behind the neck press
135x11
145x11
160x11+1

bench
140x12
160x12
175x11 same. I thought I had it tonight, The set was going great and at the last couple reps my energy and endurance just flew out the window . I said I was not changeing routines until i hit 12 reps here but oh well, I lied.

WIde grip pull ups
9+1
9+2
8.5= +.5

dips
3x10 x bw

Planks
2 x 60 seconds with 30 seconds rest between the sets

kettle bell pull overs
2x15x35

TOtal time, 1hr 20 minutes. Thats even skipping calf raise , I am having to take to long of rest to get this routine done lately. Time to move to lower reps for a while with more weight. I think its good to help hold on to my mass while cutting.

Im Really thinking its going to be back to the Real results program I done before my injury but I also got an app on my Iphone for strong lifts 5x5 program. I like the simplicity of it.
Squat 5x5 mon,wed and friday
dead lift /barbell rows alternate each work out 5x5 style
bench /bhtnp will alternate as well 5x5 style.

Thats it, I will add chin ups as my assistence for biceps and dips will stay for my tricep work . other then that, I will alternate side bends , knee lifts and ball crunch's (weighted ) for my work outs for abs . I have to cut my work outs time down. These long days at work after being off so long are catching up to me.
those of you who followed my log know I use to lift and work with avg of 4-5 hrs of sleep a night, I just cant do it like I was before. My body got use to 8-10 hrs a night. As I get use to being back to work I am sure it will be easier.

I am very satisfied with tonights progression, even though bench stalled . In reallity, It did not stall as the bhtnp progressed making bench harder.
