About 8 weeks ago I had 3 or 4 weeks off of deads letting my upper back heal. Before that, it had been about 8 months of not getting much anywhere and then jumping 30-40 pounds on my max in 4 weeks, 20 pounds if you count lifts with straps.

Massive deadlifts! And being 6'5", that's a long way to snatch up those 80s!

Strong stuff! I think I'd like to try a strongman event one day. Good luck at yours!

Thanks Fellas. Bench has always been my least favorite lift, but I'm really starting to enjoy it. Now to re-figure my squat and get my deadlift moving again. Its a constant battle, and one that can be won with hard work. There's no politics or favoritism under the bar, only the effort you've put forth and the drive you walked in with.
