Thanks BtB. The routine, and the work, are paying off. A year ago, I never though I would make it past 185 on bench, I'm hoping to get in some singles at 240 before the competition in May, it would be a big confidence booster to break my PR and get multiple singles with it. I know I have the strength, I just have to make the lift.

Nice benching Brute! 240 soon.

I notice different bench heights dramatically affect form with benching. Makes sense, though that you being tall you'd need a higher bench.

How hard is it keeping your arch when you do bench reps? Seems like I get past 4 and I lose it. Do you hold your breath, too? Just curious.

Thanks Mike! My arch stays good for heavier weight, but if I can hit more than 5-6 reps I get lazy in the middle and start to lose it. For breathing, I hold my breath for up to triples, but past that I need air. I think that may be the other part of the arch, is each time I breath, I lose some of the arch and tightness.

Next year this time you'll be playing with 300 on bench.

Nice yoke work! Yep, that's me too on the bench arch. Thanks, was wondering if others had the same issues.

Thanks Mike! Yeah, arch is tricky. We'll get it figured out though!

HUGE day today. Broke a lot of records/barriers. I also will likely become a gear whore one day. Wrist wraps changed my life today on push press.

Power Clean
95 x 5
145 x 4
165 x 1
165 x 1
185 x 1
185 x 1
185 x 1 - Big PR, 3 singles no straps
185 x 0
Add straps
185 x 1
185 x 1 - PR, 5 singles @ 185

Low Rack Deadlift - about mid shin
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 1
365 x 1
405 x 1 - strong lockouts up to and including here
455 x 1 - bit of a grind
405 x 1
315 x 1
225 x 1
135 x 1

Push Press
Bar x 10
95 x 5
Add belt and wrist wraps
135 x 3
185 x 1
185 x 1
185 x 1 - PR + 2 singles
205 x 1 - PR + 20 pounds. The wrist support changes everything. Also switched to a false grip today, which helped some too

Goblet Squat
55 x 10
80 x 5
Just getting a little mobility in

RDL
135 x 5
225 x 5
225 x 5

Fin.
