Damn, Steve is going to have to build a hotel soon for everyone that wants to go lift with him! I think just being in his presence makes anyone stronger. Glad you guys had a great time. What was the post training feast?

Pretty good bench day. Left forearm is till feeling strained, so cut curls short. Got brutal on rack pulls for the hell of it.

45 x 5 - didn't feel heavy, just rough on the forearm

Rack Pull
225 x 5
405 x 5
585 x 1
675 x 1 - win.

Surreal. On the way down, I was able to stay pretty tight, but it drifted back towards my neck about 1/3 of the way back up. From there it was just a slow lockout, but didn't feel heavy. Bench is weird.

Brute press victory! Nice.

250 bench is awesome too. Bench is weird, but you are making solid steady progress. And saving a heavy bench rep that creeps up towards your face is a good sign you had more in you. 275 soon. I love your down sets.

Super impressive rack pull, which is no surprise really considering that your deadlift is equally great in form and strength.

Great job on your signature presses as well.

Had to chuckle a bit that bench is weird - it's also the toughest technical lift IMO. No wonder there is a bench only at meets.

20 reps with DB Rows would have me running to the bucket to hurl. Great job keeping the lunch down.
