Thanks buddy! I may not have hit everything I wanted to, but I've got a good baseline to start running my progression now, so I'm pumped.

Good to see you at least got it unracked. That's the hardest part.

Congrats on the PR Mr. Clean.

Thanks BtB. 225 soon!

So, today was one of those days when I shouldn't have even gotten out of bed. Jacked up my neck again. At least I stopped as soon as it started hurting this time. I should be fine in a week or so, but I'm going to take the rest of this week off from lifting. Did it benching again, and I'm pretty sure its because I was pushing my head back against the bench rather than taking the load across my shoulders. No idea why I keep doing this, I focus on not doing it, but I effed up today.

Squats put me in a bad mood. I could barely unrack 345, no hope of making it to parallel and back. I felt like ass yesterday and should have known better than to come in today and act like nothing was wrong. Damn it.

Squat
135 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 1
300 x 4 singles
A bunch of failed lifts from 345 down to 250.

Bench
Bar x 5
135 x 5
185 x 1
205 x 1
225 x 1 - was feeling fine, finally starting to feel my strength coming back, and bam, neck died on me.

Done. Pissed off, my squats sucked today even with decent weight. Too far forward, back angle too close to the ground, not on my heels, not sitting back. Time for a week off, rest up, and try again next week, but with some lighter weight.

Working on it as we speak. It was about time for a deload anyway. Wandered into the university's sports medicine clinic, they poked around and said they thing its just the muscle knotted up and spasming, no joint problems. They expect the pain to be gone in a few days and that I should be able to return to normal activity in a week. Really wish I could be sure what it is that keeps triggering this though.

Thanks MAB. I've got 75% mobility back now and expect to be lifting again next week. Fortunately it seems to just be in the muscle and not a re-injury of the joint, so it should heal up quick. I'll take it easy next week and then be ready to smash with BtB and Gasp the next one.
