Appreciate it Mike. And yes, the Romaleos are a great shoe... really happy I picked 'em up.

To be fair the 240 was still pretty ugly, but than again a lot better than the 235. We'll see how it works out in the long run...

That 440 was every flavour of awesome. Great, great squat. And no belt!

That squat was a thing of beauty. Very impressed also by the ease with which you walk the 440 bar in and out of the rack. I am also noticing a correlation between home gyms and awesomeness.

Pull, making the amazing seem normal should be your motto. And I don't think it's the shoes, I think it's what's under those bike shorts!

Great stuff!

Personal life has been really stressful this past week with shit just piling up. Needed to lift just to relieve some stress but didn't feel like having any plan/structure or sticking around for a while. Did whatever I felt like and called it a day.

2 - 2 - 12
Clean & P Jerk - 2x2x205, 2x1x215, 2x1x220
Front Squat - 3x3x225
Chins - Many

2 - 3 - 12
Clean & Push Press - 1x215, 1x225
Squat - 2x1x405
DB Rows - 3x40x10

2 - 4 - 12
Clean & Push Press - 1x220, 1x235, 0x245 (press fail)
Squat - 2x3x185
Pull Up - 4x5

Not great a great performance or anything, but needed it mentally. On the positive side in regard to training, doing ANY work is always better than riding the couch.

As I've mentioned before, I'm considering dropping to 3 days a week. Aside from freeing up some time, I've been wondering how well I'll progress with the reduced stresses. My level of advancement isn't that great and I thinking some additional recovery will allow for quicker progression on my main lifts.

I'm inclined not to drop back for the sake of changing things frequently, but I must remind myself that this started off as one big experiment and should remain so. What I'm doing may not be the best at this point in time. Love training with the high frequency and do plan on returning to it.

The plan... Days 1 and 3 will be the same heavy sessions: clean/push press to a max, down sets of 2x3, 3x2 and the optional "fun" set of whatever. Day 2 will also work up to a max on the main lifts but down sets will only be triples and the reduction in load will be a bit more than days 1 and 3. Focus here is working on power and technique. Solid reps at a fast speed... but still relatively heavy.

Also itching to get down to a bw of 170 so I'll use the additional time/energy on cutting some weight. Slow enough, hopefully, that any reductions of stress in lifting is not offset by those created by the fat loss. Weighting in at 179-181 so there isn't much to go.

Solid work as usual pull, I like the experiment. I think things need to be constantly tweaked until you get it perfect. Then you tweak it again.

I think you'll make rock solid progress on 3 days a week. I don't think you're close to hitting real hard walls yet.

Absolutely. I do not believe for one second I need all of that work provided in heavy, full body sessions, 5 days a week. Thought this since day 1. I just don't need that stimulus. It did however work VERY well and completely opened my mind to a new training method; one that I will eventually return to. Regardless of one's level of advancement, equipped or unequipped, drugs or no drugs, the body is capable of some incredible things.

Huge gains made... Two sessions stick out which signify this the most. One on 9/2/11 and the other 1/24/12. In September 5x360 was my squat max and one that I needed a week to build up to, belted w/sleeves. In January 5x365 was done after 1x430, 2x3x385, and 3x2x400. It wasn't belted or wrapped, not pushed to failure... an after thought... a "fun" set.
