My workout was cut short due to a phone call which demanded the submission of a ton of paper work. So all I got taken care of were my squats. Will be back under the bar in about an hour to get the rest of training finished up.
Video is of sets 2 and 3 of my 5x5x315 squat. A couple notes here: Slowed down my descent just a tad. Doesn't look to much like it, but the difference in feel is clear. Also will be leaving the belt off during volume days. Both changes will make the tasks at hand a little harder, but should pay off big on intensity days. |

Thanks Carl... I do try.
Did some patch work and got everything finished. Today's training looks like... 8 - 22 - 11 --- Volume DAY! Squats - 5x5x315 Press - 5x5x155 Row - 5x5x190, 3x12x135 (last 3, snatch grip) *Power cleans 2x3x135, 3x3x155, 5x3x175 Notes We'll I can't say this was the best day, but I got work done... and a little more because some last minute work stuff. I can't complain about presses, not all reps were smooth, but they were full reps. I've decided to finally begin racking the bar on my shoulders as opposed to racking it on my clavicle and arm strength. Now I will say that the rack-on-delts saves a lot of energy in the arms, but it also puts me at a slightly weaker pressing position so it was a little give and take, but I like it. After presses I set my timer for 6-minutes and did a ton of push presses at 135lb. This was more or less to get used to whole racking the bar on the delts thing. But by the end I got thing settled and looking forward to... moving forward with the changes. Rows were rows, but the last three sets were done with a wide, snatch like grip - made the shoulders feel good. Power cleaned a ton, for technique and just because I like the movement. My technique still sucks. A lot more work than usual, but I had more time and was feeling great with the split session. |

Great vids and solid lifting. Those squats are nice and DEEP. But your garage is way too clean and organized.

Thanks LtL
To my own surprise, these weren't bad. They were pulled in line with my upper chest (delt rows?) and the wide grip (index finger-power ring) limited the range of motion a tad. I think I might continue to use these for down sets, some good work for the upper back. Appreciate it OR. Personally couldn't have the squats any other way. As for the garage... I've been trying to get rid of a bunch of shit for more space and a cleaner look, haha. |

Training pushed back to today because of some medical stuff yesterday.
8 - 25 - 11 --- Recovery Day Front squat - 3x3x260 Push Press - 3x5x170 Pull Ups - 5x8x25 *SLDL 3x10x175, DB Rows 1x12x40,50,60,70 Notes OK day. No belt for any of the lifts. Front squats were easy, should start moving the numbers up. Push presses were OK - used this session to pick out flaws in technique. Everything is settle and more or less, have to just get used to it. Pull ups went fairly smooth. Stiff legged instead of good morning because I have a few stitches in the back of my neck. These were easy and could have thrown on a few 45's but it is recovery day. DB rows for some additional pulling. |

Nice recovery session mate!
A few stitches? How did you manage that? Hope you heal up fast mate!
