Squat - 235x8-7-6-6-4 (31) (PR for reps) Leg Press - 725x10-10-10 Excellent session that left me hobbling around all weekend. Quads were fried!

SDS4DS - Cycle 21 - Week 1 - Chest and Triceps - Density
Bench Press - 200x6-2-2-3-2-3-3 (21) (+3) CGBP - 165x6-3-4-3-4-4-4 (28) (+3) Rope Pulldown - 7.5x10-10-8 (28) (+2) Great day, felt strong and exceeded previous sessions. Legs were still DOM-med up from Friday. I am hoping that a couple of weeks of regular, un-skipped workouts will get me back on track and in the groove.

SDS4DS - Cycle 21 - Week 1 - Back - Density
Deadlift - 355x3-3-3-1-1-1 (12) (-1) DB Rows - 90x5-5-5-5-5 Had a little trouble today with the pulling. The first sets were fine, but as I was locking out on the last reps, my hip gave me some pain when I bent forward to let the weight down. I did some singles to get a feel for the pain and it's almost like it (the right hip) didn't want to turn in the socket. I hope this is just an after effect of squatting, but I've noticed the same pain from time to time when I go to turn abruptly when I'm walking. I'll keep an eye on it. I hope I don't sound like one of those guys who always has an excuse because I don't feel that I am. I listen to my body and if something doesn't feel right, I take notice.

Bench Press - 225x2-2-2-2-2-1-1 (12) (PR) DB Bench Press - 60x10-10-6 Kettlebell Extension - 25x10-10-10 Was determined to gain reps today, so I added an extra set to round the count to 12. Would have been a PR anyway, but +1 for good measure.

Wow, sorry for the absence! I've had a full schedule, but still found the time to smash some weights. To catch up:
SDS4DS - Cycle 21 - Week 2 - Back - Density Cancelled due to a huge false alarm crisis. One of those situation where a friend calls for help then tells you when you get there, "I figured it out myself." ![]() SDS4DS - Cycle 21 - Week 2 - Shoulders and Biceps - Strength BTNP - 165x3-2-3-1-3-2-1-1 DB Raise - 25x10-10-10 Preacher Curl - 73x5-5-5-4-3 Jumped back to 165 and obviously lost a bit of strength over the last month or so, but I should bounce back with no problems. SDS4DS - Cycle 21 - Week 2 - Legs - Density Squats - 235x7-7-7-7-7 (35) (PR for reps) That's all I did...date night and had to expedite the workout, but...the PR made me feel like a million bucks and felt the DOMS all weekend. Nice! SDS4DS - Cycle 22 - Week 1 - Chest and Triceps - Density Bench Press - 200x5-3-2-3-3-3-2-1 (22) CGBP - 165x6-4-4-3-3-4-5 (29) (PR) Rope Pulldowns - 7.5x10-10-10 (finally!) Ok, really felt like I'm truly back in form now. Strong, motivated and psyched to keep pushing (or pressing as is the case here). Threw in that extra BP rep because I was distracted on the last set by someone talking to me while I was working! Dammit! STFU! I exceeded expectations on the CGs and PDs. TODAY SDS4DS - Cycle 22 - Week 1 - Back - Strength Deadlift- 365x1-1-1-1-1 (PR) ![]() DB Row - 85x5-5-5-5-5 Was sick of being stuck at 355, so I upped the weight and did some heavy singles. Piece of cake! I'll keep it here next time and try for doubles. Rows - I dropped the weight because I wanted to do these raw to test my grip and all reps were done without straps. This was a true PR because try as I might, I could not do this a month ago. My work at 90# w/ straps has apparently improved my grip. ![]() ![]() ![]()
