6-2-11 "Push" day
I am pleased to say that I was able to bench press for the first time in about 3 months without shoulder pain!!!!!!!!!!! BB benchpress 225x5,245x5, 255x3, 245x3 Db Incline BP 40x10,50x10,8 Incline crossovers 12.5x10 10x10,10 Skullcrushers(all weight is not counting the ezbar, I don't have a clue what the ez curl bar actually weighs) 55x10,60x8,65x4 overhead 2 hand db tricep extension 65x12,65x10,60x8 Cable Pushdowns(v-bar attachment) 125x12,10 120x10 2 rotator cuff exercises 3x12 each. Overall I give this workout a B+. Simply for the fact that I feel my shoulder is almost back at 100% for the first time in months. I was able to bench "heavy" and I did not have pain or discomfort, which is great. Also, I haven't been able to do inclines at all and I was able to do them. Even though I was tempted to through in some direct shoulder work, I will probably try to wait a few more weeks before throwing in some overhead press or lateral raises. Thanks J_byrd! Injuries do suck, but I am learning that when it comes to weightlifting, they are the nature of the beast. I'm sure someone smashing numbers like you can attest to this.
