I guess I have never actually posted what is going on with my injury, so here is a little update.

After the MRI and meeting with the orthopedic, I have torn the peck tendon away from the bone. I will be having surgery next week to have it placed back. They will be able to use my same tendon, and it will put me out of work for a few days.

Spoke with some guys on another forum who have had this surgery. Got some great feedback, and it seems like the recovery will not be as bad as I originally thought. Hopefully in 6months I will be good to go.

Time to put Humpty Dumpty back together again!

Great attitude JB! A bump in the road. I hope I face a bump that well.

(Well, actually I hope I never have to face a bump, but you know what I mean! )

I guess this is a good time to address your deadlift "weakness", eh?

6 months is over next April, so expecting some big ass benches in the Spring!

Good luck, buddy.

You'll be back sooner than 6 months. It's in your DNA.

Heal up and hair over quick JB. I have no doubt you'll come back stronger than ever and faster than the egg heads think.

As tough as it is to take down time, it'll be worth it to you in the long run. Wishing you the very best J.

Thanks a lot MAB! I have preop on Tuesday and then surgery on Friday. Doc confirmed by phone that my tendon had rolled down into my peck, and that it will be "fun to get out". I asked him fun for who and he laughed lol. I am going to give the tendon the full 10 weeks to take, then I will start to push it. I am going to do my best to track my progress through my log and photos. The physical battle will be easy to win, the mental....well thats a different story. I have not missed more than a week in the gym in years. Going to be hard to stay away from it. First few weeks or rehab and shrinking will suck, but after that I will be doing lots of hamstring curls and extensions. Ill keep you guys updated.
