i just realized that i didnt log my last bench workout.

did my normal warm ups, put on a single ply shirt thats about 2 sizes too big. Worked up to 550 for a few reps. Called it a day. Just getting back into the flow.

Just a casual few bench reps at 550 then? Not so bad

I enjoy reading about guys like you J who just lift monster weights like it's a stroll in the park. I would love to see you walk into a commercial gym over here and lift those weights (I have never seen more than 5 plates on a bar in any gym I have been in). You'd probably be banned!

Thanks guys, I was really happy with those rack pulls. Hopefully it transitions well to off the floor. I have to hit a solid pull in October. If I want to run with the big pulls, got to pull some big numbers from the floor!!!!!

Trying Steve. Going to have to start on some joint meds to help. Got a long way till next meet!

HAHA I will admit they were pretty laid back reps. The shirt is several years old, and just a training shirt for me now. So there was no pressure to hit big numbers. As far as commercial gyms, I wouldnt last long. To much bad language, face slaps, chalk, and stealing of 45s haha!!!

Squat night: Went in with a plan of not really doing a lot. Didnt go as planned.

Warm ups: All squats walked out in single ply gear
135
245
335
545x6
695x4
785x2 Really bad bar roll

I got under the bar at 785 with the intention of doing 4-5 reps. I crushed the 2 reps with pretty deep depth, but got some nasty bar roll. It was to the point that it was mid back and I had to rerack as I was about to lose bar. Not sure If i wasnt tight enough in the shoulders or if I just had that much speed on the first rep that I rolled the bar. Either way I was good for at least 4 reps there. I should be happy being I have not walked out over 700 in a year. Pretty sure with a solid training cycle I could go over 900 walked out in single ply gear. That will have to wait though as I am going to gear up next week and start getting ready for the XPC Semis. If any of you guys are near Columbus Ohio, I could use your help at the meet in October.

Great job with the big ass squats. 785 is freakin huge. You stepped back into 700+ pound squats in a big way!!! Scary strong J byrd. Very solid. Very impressive.

Thanks Josh, nice to know I can jump from one style of lifting to another. I am just too hung up on multiply right now to spend too much time out of full gear! Ready to load up the bar over the next 15 weeks!
