Tuesday Bit of a mediocre session tonight. The gym was shut from Thursday-Monday. It's shut again on Friday and Monday, and I'm away Thursday to Saturday. So training is very disrupted at the moment. No lower body work since the squat challenge. I was hoping for eight reps on top sets of press and bench press. Anyway, hey ho. Saturday - half session I've had real problems over the last couple of days with a trapped nerve - or that's what I assume it is. Pain in neck and shoulder, numbness in face (!) and arm. A session on the foam roller seemed to cure it. However, today's workout was horrible, horrible, horrible. Failed a 95kg press. Bent over rows at 100kg was impossible - despite doing 100 X 5 X 5 on Tuesday. Bench press was painful - there's something up with my left pec which isn't going away. Only managed 10 reps out of 70kg on press - I was hoping to equal my rep PB of 14. I took the camera along as that sometimes spurs me on, but the stength just wasn't there. Press Warm ups 7o X 3 80 X 2 85 X 1 90 X 1 95 X F (WTF!!) 70 X 10 Bent over rows Warm ups 100 X 5 100 X 4 (WTF X 2!!) Bench Press Warm ups 130 X 8 Went home in disgust. |

Sunday I haven't got into the gym this week, and haven't done lower body forever. Just a quick session to try to get back into it. I can't understand why my upper body strength has suddenly dipped, but there you go.
