The Start - Monday 1) Flat BB Press for warm -up - with perfect form - The Bench is no longer a major concern of mine- It's not more of a warm up to press the massive close grips 135x5x8-10 2) CGBP- 8 Sets Work with weight till I hit 300 for 2 singles - That was a awesome PR break for me. 3) Power Cleans 135 x 20 pulls - Not timed- awesome form on a lot but the last few were terrible. 4) Pull Ups And Chest Dips A) Pull Ups - 5 x 12 B) Chest Dips - 5 x 15 5) Bent Over BB Rows - 5 sets Standard Grip/ 5 Sets Reverse Grip Standard - 135x20/x15/185x10/205x10/205x10 Reverse Grip- 135x5x10

Your log names are always epic!!!
Thats a huge PR on CGBP, killing it! How are the powercleans going? Im just putting a few more touches on an Oly lifting program I'm going to test out, based on Kono's book. I remember in your old log you wanted to know how he set it out, the set out will be in my new log, I havent posted it up yet, I hope to do it later on today/tonight.

I am getting the pulls downs. Dropping my ass better and driving the force instead of yanking. The first couple pulls are shit, Then 8 following are perfect form and the the last pulls are a mix bag of shit and success.
The CGBP are my trophy- My triceps are awesome, I think because I spend so much time using them for MMA and my Bench just goes between shit and awesome- I think because I use less chest for fighting. however, my chest looks ****en awesome, I will say it's probably from the cgbp, push ups and Chest Dips that got my chest like that - And yes I am looking forward to seeing this lay out!

I really like the look of the program. And man, that CG is huge!
Are the bench warmups fatiguing at all?

No, Not at all but I think I am gonna cut it down to 3 sets instead of 5..I never hit 2 bills before and I tried a suggestion about warming up with some light bench to get the triceps warm and chest warm and then blast.

I am thinking of ditching the power cleans and going with the juggernaught/ strongman volume power method on mondays and thursday. Strongman volume on monday and power str on thursday along with weighted dips. Any suggestions?
So it would be heavy cgbp and 75percent cleans and press with pull ups and body weight chest dips and on thursday it would be 95 to max clean and press with weighted chest dips Last edited by MMA Max; 03-14-2011 at 10:14 PM. |
