Good luck learning the OH Squats.
Keep up the smashing my friend!!!
Thanks Big J My Pendlays are starting to get back to pre-injury numbers. Trying to keep the reps explosive is the hard part on these. The trick is to remain very tight and pull with all my might.

The OH Squats look easy but definietly are not.

Thanks Big Al I think I may introduce power cleans next back day, after rowing, like Steve said. may have to cut back a bit on the pull ups tho.

Careful you don't fall into your old trap of eternally adding in exercises without taking others out Jim.

Agreed Old habits do die hard, but I think that old one is dead. I checked with Steve, and he said to do them after Pendlays on back day. I may just do a few scattered pull ups, but maybe not. There are 2 back days per 12 day cycles, so I could alternate power cleans and pull-ups

Pull ups are low intensity. Do them inbetween sets of bench, Wendler style or inbetween squat sets. They're bodyweight so shouldn't hurt you too much.

Ok Al Consider it done

The OH squats are an add-on. Steve also suggested I try them, but they are of course not a replacement for squats, box squats, or front squats. I feel I have enough left in me to do them for now as a finisher, at least until I'm back up to back squatting 3 PPS+

Strong rowing Squatter.
I also like sets of 3s on the chin-ups or pull-ups.

Thanks OR Pull Ups are a killer for me to progress on. It would be nice to get to 4 reps+ per set. We'll see how it goes this winter. I'll be doing them now as Al suggested above.

I've tried dumbell OH squats which I think were even harder to balance. They'll smash your upper back as well as your legs.

Haha - I think I'll stick with the BB. I did 65 lbs this AM. Going deep is very difficult, so I prolly keep them to parallel or just slightly below. They will be a work in progress of course. I have to keep wieght on heels better and keep back tighter, and look down better on them. I got a vid to post with my session tonight.
