Great work Jim. Form looked tight. A little leg drive might help, but I know on some home benches it's not easy because of the height.

Thanks Steve You didn't notice my leg drive? I thought I had good leg drive. I used to have the problem of my bench being to high, so I put plates under my feet and it worked like a charm.

I think tryin a belt when you bench could help you a great deal also. If you take a huge breath in and push you abs against the belt i think you will find you will gain a little more drive in the upper body. With the lower body i know the arch is a tough thing to learn but as you get it your drive with your legs will become more pronounced and effective also. I'm no expert by any means but these are some things i have learned and been shown by the powerlifters i train with.

I was very happy to get 4 reps on my money set. I don't show the emotion in the vid cuz I didn't reach my goal of 5 reps. I was getting angry about it, so I thought Damn it, I'm going to do a single - so I did. For some reason, I was still not happy. I dunno if it's because I'm a little blah due to being in a calorie deficit after eating like a horse for 6 months or what. So, I was getting angry that I wasn't happy with my deadlifts. My emotions returned during my Sumo's. I was so stoked to crank out those reps with authority and they felt light. The emotional train was in full swing during my Shrugs. I cried and was angry during all the sets and reps, and that really fueled incredible PB's for me. All reps were decent shrugs. The song that came on during that second set of shrugs was the Goo Goo Dolls "Notbroken" The lyric I quoted above really sums everything up for me. Lifting IS my soul and I am Notbroken. I'm finishing what I started 25 years ago - and I'm not finished yet.

415 X4 Deadlift

415 X1 Deadlift Single

260 X10 Sumo Deadlift
