I have decided to call this routine MOBPowerbuilding as I now feel like I have been beaten by them and left for dead after each session. Bench Press 205 X6 See Vid 205 X5 205 X5 205 X5 Did not feel particularly strong today. Perhaps the squats/RDL's yesterday and the Pendlays/Pull Ups/Power Shrugs the day before had something to do with it But ya know what, I am actually enjoying this as I am a sucker for punishment.Incline Bench Press As routine states, I used only a slight incline - 20 Degrees 170 X8 170 X8 170 X7 Last rep was a grinder and a grunter. Dips +25 X8 +25 X8 +25 X8 First time doing weighted dips in a long time. These were a huge test for my intercostal back Rib injury, and it passed with flying colors. I couldn't help but reflect on the good old days when I was doing BW +90 for reps. Side Bends (Make up from yesterday) 45's X10 45's X10 45's X10 Cardio ![]() 5k (3.1 Miles) of Badass Intervals - I'll call them 'Jimtervals ![]() Thanks guys - all I needed was a little push to get me to do intervals. After I was done, I almost keeled over and met my maker. Having total body DOMS didn't help matters either. For crying out loud, I almost feel like I need a week off already LOL, but like I said, this is just what I need - a good butt kick.

Looking strong Jim, I am just about to do day 12 and hopefully get the 2pps for 6 reps that I have wanted for a while.
But you are riht this routine does creep up and smack you around the head with no prior warning ![]() Loving the 'Jimtervals' Carl.

Have you ever tried benching with feet behind? It's helped me a great deal. I'm expecting big things out of my bench in the very near future. So far im going to give credit to the new set up. |

MOB POWERBUILDING CYCLE 1 DAY 7 CARDIO & WEIGH-IN
08/27/11 Cardio 10K(6.2 Miles) Jimtervals PR ![]() ![]() Each interval was 71 seconds. On the sprint interval I increased speed from 70 to 90 RPM and incline from 1 to 3. What an intense rush. Thanks alot guys - I think I'm now addicted to intervals. However, I will now do HIT Jimtervals on non-lifting days. Steady state 5-10K's will be on the menu on lifting days. WEIGH-IN Weight: 222.8 lbs Waist: 39.5 inches Weight is down 3.4 lbs from last week and waist is down 0.5 inches. This marks the end of a very successful butt-kick week. I did 6 heavy duty Powerbuilding sessions and 75K of cardio in 7 days, including 15 K of Jimtervals. The 75K represents a huge cardio PR - I have never done this much in one week. Despite all of this, I feel great and full of energy. I, of course, do not want to lose 3.5 lbs every week, so things will be toned down next week. This week was just to jump start my system into fat loss mode. This cut is going to be epic. I am already looking bumpier - even Mrs Squatter says so. I may not even have to cut all the way to 200.
