Thanks JB! I couldn't agree more, and I'm actually enjoying this right now. Looking forward to benching aand deadlifting this weekend with the Crew.

Bad a$$ lifting Jim, agree with Jay about those big legs.
Thanks Chad! I'm not even sore today! Indeed, by the 6th set I was getting tired, but wanted to do it, and keept on going. I would have stopped only if my back told me to, but it held up. A couple of months ago, just bending over was out of the question. Quads may be looking bigger due to the cut.

Haha, good! It seems I am thinking about lifting 24/7 right now. Feeling 100% might have something to do with it.

Got 100 explosive reps with limited rest. Really happy with these!

Going to lift with the Crew this weekend, but will be keeping it light. Really nice to be easing back to "my normal"!
135*100 And you are still not normal ... Stop acting like JB ... This is insane working super Jim ... means all those reps on squat and still going for 135*100 ... yes you are not normal ...

Well, I am trying hard to get Certified Insane so that I'll fit in better around here.

CREW BENCH

The guys have convinced me to lift in the Fed's upcoming meet early May. It is only 6 weeks out. I am going to lift of course, but with no expectations. I am just going to go and have fun with the sport I love to death and gain some more invaluable experience.

http://independentpowerlifting.com/gpc_poster_2013.jpg

With that said, I was going into today's session with all intentions to lift light. However, I have discovered it is impossible to do so when in the vicinity of a Powerlifting Crew. Even tho this is definitely not what the Doc's prescribed, I am quickly getting the feeling they were very conservative and likely over-cautious. They did tell me that my eyes were normal (well, my normal anyway) at the last checkup and they have been just fine since. So, I am going to start prepping for my meet and just do the best I can. All the weights will still be lighter than I was previously doing before my back rehab and eye surgery.

Bench Press
105 X5
135 X5
155 X5
175 X5
195 X5
205 X5
Add 1 Board
225 X3
Add 2 Board
245 X3
260 X2
Add 3 Board
275 X3
275 X1
Triple was sloppy, but single was awesome. Everything felt heavy as fuck, but the good thing is is that I didn't think about that at all. Doing so used to be a problem for me.

DB Bench
40's X10
50's X12
50's X12
50's X11
45's X10

Chest Dips
BW X5 X5 Sets
These were also feeling heavy, but I got full ROM and they felt good.

Rope Pushdown's
22.5 X20
22.5 X15
22.5 X25
22.5 X20
22.5 X20
Total of 100 reps. Nice burnage.

Pull-o-clock Sunday morning!

Haven't checked back in awhile, Jim, but things seem to be getting back to normal from what I've read on this page? Nice benching!
