I don't recall ever doing DB work before BB work before. Arnold's felt really heavy and kicked my ass. I was supposed to go heavy on them and nothing too crazy on the mid grip Barbell Presses. Very interesting twist to the session tonight that really fried my shoulders.

It was also really cool to have my way with the 225. 2PPS used to be nothing but a Big Bitch to me. I thought form was pretty darn good and I am getting more consistent with the tightness as the reps go by in each set. I was also able to create a bigger arch tonight than I have in the past.

Glad you enjoyed!

You are making steady progress, your overall strength has improved a fair amount in my opinion.

FYI, the off cycle stuff has similar workouts with dumbbell bench and curls before moving to the regular bench. Now those are nasty lol.

Thanks Ravi!! I love Arnold's, but doing them heavy wasn't quite a smuch fun as I usually struggle getting the DB's into place. Once in place tho, I can usually lift them. I sometimes get a bit of fear of injuring myself getting them into place. So I do prefer using DB's for lighter work for sure.

Thanks JB!! Haha - I knew it was by design. I always like something different tho and this fit the bill. I feel significantly stronger as well!

Thanks Rich!! They were a real bitch tho. As I said to Ravi, I am not a big fan of heavy DB work as I struggle with them, but it was a nice change of pace. Wouldn't want to do it regularly tho.

Thanks Alan! I can smell blood for my 500 pull and 3PPS bench. Squat I am hoping for a 430 to legal depth soon. 450 later in the spring or early summer would be nice.
