Solid benching. 300x1 board press was cake. Great job.
This is just one man's opinion, but I think you should tell the spotter not to touch the bar until it is either coming back down or you say/grunt/yell that he needs to.
Keep up the hard work!

Thanks Josh!! Felt good to get under a weight I have never done before for any press. Indeed, it was a premature spot I thought as well. Normally he is a great spotter. Shit happens.

SQUAT BEATDOWN JB STYLE

**WARNING TO ALL MEMBERS**

Be on the lookout for a member named JB. He is armed and dangerous with a program that will systematically kill and destroy you.

Last week my money sets were at 365 X4. this week they were 390 X3.

Although I completed this sesh with no misses, I think it may be prudent to maybe alternate heavy dead & squat work every Sunday as I don't think my lower back can handle heavy dead squat work in the same week anymore. Today I felt every rep right from the warm ups in my lower back and it was not happy about it. The only way I got thru this was because of Brian (Crew Leader and Founder) spotting me. He is just an absolutely incredible spotter. He's always telling me form corrections to make during and in between reps. He absolutely loved the 2nd rep and told me the third rep was just amazing. Unbelievable that I get better on my last 2 reps on my last set when I am just absolutely thrashed. Only he can get that out of me. He knows exactly what to say to me. I told him that after the set. I think he was more excited about the last 2 reps than me. I know one thing for sure - I will only heavy squat when he is spotting me, except at a meet of course. I know for a fact if I had done these squats at home it would have been a disaster. I am now at the point where my form always broke down and then I'd get hurt - but that is now in the past. This is the difference the Crew, and namely Brian, makes. Trust me, I don't take it for granted and I let Brian know it.

Getting back to alternating heavy squat and dead work - let me know what you think JB. Maybe I can do some light work at home. I simply want to make sure i stay healthy and keep crushing iron. Maybe you have a better idea?

I am pretty sure I have never repped 390 before, especially for 3 sets. I have doubled 405 before, but only for 1 set

Squat
Working Sets
150KG (331 lbs) X3 (Ooops - only supposed to do 325 and for 1 rep)
160KG (353 lbs) X1
165KG (364 lbs) X3
177.5KG (391 lbs) X3
177.5KG (391 lbs) X3
177.5KG (391 lbs) X3

Narrow Stance Squat
235 X6
235 X6

Wide Stance Squat
Right knee was caving in on some reps on the 165 set.
145 X6
165 X8
In the video, it may look like my stance was not that wide, but it looked wide from my viewpoint above and felt like no other squat I have done before. Thus, it was wider than I normally do. I probably need to bring my stance out a bit more on my regular squat.

Dead. Throw me in the dumpster.

This was the last set.

Not sure why videographer turned camera sideways. LOL

Haha.

Smash on Jim. Nice squats. That first rep looked hard but you muscled through.
