Just a couple of questions tho regarding this weekends sessions. I have never heard of nor done a Kaz Press. I did search it out on youtube, but only found some woman apparently doing them with DB's and some other person doing it with a Barbell, but not sure if they are correct or not. Is there a link to instruction or a vid? I can also ask the crew to show me, assuming someone there has heard of or done them before.

EDIT: I just found this link with instruction from Elitefts on how to do Kaz Press:

EliteFTS - Superior Products and Knowledge for Lifters, Athletes, Coaches, and Trainers

I reckon I could try them on the Smith machine (I think there is one in the gym where the crew trains). Heck, I am not even 100% sure there is a leg extension or ham curl bench) I guess I'll find out.

On Sunday, do I superset all 3 - the narrow stance ATG squats and leg extensions and ham curls? Or just the leg extensions and ham curls? I am thinking all 3 of course, but just wanted to make sure.

Other than that, all is clear and I am ready to go on Saturday!

I thought I may do a quick stay loose session tonight.
You got it, super set all 3. No need to be in a hurry. Just a nice rotation of the 3 lifts. The idea is to have the legs full of blood, similar to a BB type pump. The drop down weight will seem like nothing at first, but trust me it will pay off.

Kaz press: skip to 2:57

Let me know if there is no extension/ham machine and we will work another iso type movment in.

Squat depth looks good from last session, also your GM is exactly what we will be looking for in a few weeks form wise. Time to make some gains!

Crazy 8's. Turned out to be a total of 88 deep reps. Didn't plan it this way per se - I just wanted to do sets of 8 until I started to lose form and get tired. 8 reps was chosen to prepare me a bit for the start of the new routine.

Ever since I got called on depth on my opener in Vegas I have just wanted to bury everything in sight. It really hit me hard as I was so upset about it. There is something about being called on depth at a meet that really eats away at me.

Gotcha. I trust you 100% JB. Thanks for the clarification. I'll be running this program exactly how you write it and I will be giving you all the feedback I can. I simply cannot wait to begin.

Thanks for the vid!! I will use a EZ Curl bar in the vid. I think I have a good idea now how to do it. I'll take a vid of my Kaz's as well.

I will for sure let you know on the leg extrension and ham curl machines. It's funny how I am not sure if there are those machines there.

Thanks JB and good to know I am good to go. I feel great and healthy. Facet joint is holding up really well since before Vegas. Let's close that gap!!

JB'S OLD SCHOOL ME BENCH

Bench Press
Bar X8
Bar X8
135 X8
135 X8
170 X8
190 X8
190 X8
190 X8
Just the right amount of work here. All reps were not to failure, but close. There was only a few of the crew lifting today. Just my luck the 2 Bench Nazi's Brian & Dave were there. They don't let me get away with anything. As soon as Dave sees the slightest breach of tightness he tells me to reset. Doing so on the fly every 2 reps to 8 reps makes it seem like an eternity. Triceps and upper back were on fire after the last set.

CGBP
145 X10
145 X9
140 X9
135 X10
I think 140 would have been good across the board. I haven't done over 5 reps for anything since probably last fall. Triceps felt like a California wildfire swept thru them but I survived. All reps were again 1 away from failure.

DB Skullcrushers
15's X10
20's X10
25's X9
20's X9
These made my triceps white hot.

Kaz Press
EZ Curl Bar X10
EZ Curl Bar+20 X10
EZ Curl Bar+40 X10
EZ Curl Bar+40 X10
These actually were quite soothing and felt great at the end of the session. I think I did them right, as this was of course first time doing them. Only Dave on the crew has ever heard of these before. He said they are like a modified JM Press usually done with an EZ Curl Bar. Judging by JB's example vid, that sounds about right. I lowered the bar to about 6 inches above my Clavicles.

Brian joked that he was going to call me the Kazmanian Devil from now on.

They do have another name though I can't recall it; I came across them a while ago and do them with dumbbells...they're from old-school training, I think
