DEADLIFT SESSION

Until the time I start my new routine I am just taking a couple of weeks and doing what I feel like and when. Today I wanted to rep some deadlifts up until recently I have only singled before. I ended up setting a PR for a single, as doing so is fun. What also made the day fun is ripping them off the floor. This is really some of the best advice I have ever received from Steve, LtL, and the crew. I remember just a few weeks ago Dave on the crew saw me fussing with my setup too much and told me at the time that that would be the last time I ever deadlifted like that. I was a little put off to tell you the truth, because I thought it was necessary to fuss at least somewhat to find the ideal hip position. My deadlifts have taken off ever since I heeded this bit of priceless advice. I have seen LtL do it for a long time but I was neither willing nor confident enough to do it until Dave on the crew insisted and ordered me to change. Truly this was the best deadlifting decision/adjustment I have ever made. It really works. Step up and rip gives me the confidence I can pull anything, makes it fun, and makes me feel like the strongest guy in the world, even tho I obviously am not.

Had my Mom's most cherished possession with me in the JimGym today - her 35th Birthday AA Medallion. It really does inspire and empower me.

Thanks Steve!! I think with a meet like ramp up, definitely 480 would be mine. I planned on doing the 425 and 445 for doubles. I was amazed I still had enough left in me for a single, but not a double, so I thought 470 was a wise choice since I had no idea how it would feel after the doubles.

Next time, in about 2 weeks or so, when I deadlift next I will likely go for 480.

Awesome JB. Thanks for the last minute adjustment.

I'm ready to put on my hard hat anytime really. I can start it on Saturday & Sunday with the crew if you would like me to start with "max" days or I can start it next week with lighter or dyanmic work at hone in the JimGym.

I have no idea what you penned for me but I am so darn excited and honored that you are doing this for me. This will be given everything I got JB. Thanks so much for helping me close that gap. I am really the happiest lifter on Earth right now.

I will email you week 1 today from my work email, let me know if it doesnt show. I based it off the numbers we have discussed in pm. I will adjust each week and even each day if we need to as we go. First two weeks are higher volume higher rep work. Have 10 weeks total, then a week of testing. We can add a deload in if we need to. Lets get it rolling with ME work this weekend.
