Ya, I know, I am not supposed to drop it. I will have more focus at the meet. I was just so darn excited. I have been fighting for deadlift progression since I did my 440 at the meet. Too bad Laura stopped the recording as it was an epic happy dance right in front of everyone.

On the back-off singles, they wanted me to practice just stepping up to the bar, then just grab the bar and rip it off the floor without even thinking. They even had me sniff some liquid to clear my mind and give me some adrenalin rush. So, that's what I did - I just stepped up and ripped them off the floor like nobody's business.

I have to admit that I am at the point now that if they told me to jump off a bridge I might to it. I have 100% complete trust and faith in their coaching. It's just amazing how they are all helping me out to become the powerlifter I and they feel I am capable of being.

These are all PR's in the sense that my ROM is vastly improved over what it was back in the old gym days when I first started here about 2 years ago, even on the 900 lb set. I think I once had 11PPS loaded for a triple back then, but like I said, ROM was not that great. I would even consider that lift back then an ego-lift.

Great deadlifts buddy, it seems that working with a crew has helped you so much. Can't wait to see what this style of training has in store for you.

Thanks Mike. I am hoping the store will be selling a 3 PPS Bench and a 5 PPS Deadlift.

BENCH SESSION

This was absolutely one of my best days ever as a lifter. Bench PR's are so special to me, as it has always been a lift I dreaded to do because I could not do it very well. I used to stare at guys benching 2 PPS at my old gym; wondering how the hell do they do it. At one point a trainer there offered me personal training guaranteeing me a 2PPS bench. I wanted it so bad I was actually thinking of paying the $1200.00 fee. I have added almost 100 lbs to my bench since then.

Bench Press
Bar X9
95 X9
115 X6
115 X3
135 X3
135 X3
155 X3
185 X3
205 X3
225 X3
240 X3
255 X3 PR Previous best at this weight was a single
275 X1 Weight PR
If I can do this under less than ideal conditions in the JimGym, I am confident I can do 295 under proper conditions with the crew. 275 felt relatively light - even after all the triples. I couldn't believe it. It's almost impossible to remain 100% tight because of the positioning and the large hooks I have to unrack from. I am able to retighten somewhat after unracking, but it's not the same.

I am literally one of the happiest guys on Earth right now.To bench 2 and a half plates as opposed to 2 plates and a bunch of biscuits is also a huge mental milestone for me. I am even more pleased the weight load does not scare me one bit. In fact, I cannot wait to press it.

Military Press
95 X3
115 X3
135 X3
155 X3 PR!!
165 X1 PR!!
Pressing in my Romaleos and finding my form groove on these lately is making a huge difference.

Chins
BW X4 PR!!
BW X4
BW X3
I have done 6 reps before, but that was when I was at least 20 lbs lighter. Not sure if the knee raises are legal or not - Haha

Standing BB Curls
95 X3
110 X2 PR!!
95 X5
80 X8
65 X10
I was having too much fun to not curl in the squat rack!!

Jim that 275 was more than impressive. It was easy despite the shaking. 300 is happening soon.

Thanks so much Steve!!

300 has such a nice ring to it. I definitely am confident enough to own it very soon with the Crew.

Speaking of the tremors, they actually said I seemed to shake less when I was super tight.

Indeed your right brother. This session was a huge confidence builder. Doing that in the JimGym means I got alot more in me with a proper spot and liftoff.
