DEADLIFT DAY WITH THE CREW

Today I learned what it is like to train with a herd of Zilla's.

Conventional Deadlift
All Raw
Squat W/U:
Bar XLots
95 X8
115 X5
Deadlift:
135 X5
185 X3
225 X3
275 X3
325 X3
365 X3
405 X3 Raw PR for reps. I have never repped 405 raw before.
430 X1
455 X0 Got it off the floor about 5 inches.
Going for the 455 and missing it was a big mistake because Brian saw it, and thus made me do the following because I missed:

Sumo Deadlift
All raw with 1 minute rest between sets
225 X3
225 X4
225 X4
225 X4
225 X5
225 X4
225 X5
225 X4
225 X4
225 X4
225 X5
225 X4
225 X4
225 X5
225 X4
225 X4
225 X3
225 X3
225 X4
225 X5
225 X4
225 X3
225 X4
225 X3
225 X2
225 X1
225 X1
Total of 27 sets and 100 reps Locked them all out.
Just brutal and nasty. Sweat and chalk all over the place. I have shredded hands and shins, and bruises all over my thighs, and a friction burn on my forearm. I feel like I was beaten by a motorcycle gang. I then cried all the way home.

I shall never miss another.

I took the opportunity to take a vid of Brian squatting 716 lbs for 2 reps. He had Squat Briefs on for gear. Sorry for the shaky vid but my tremors were in full gear.

Awesome work Jim. I like to punish myself with reps when I miss as well. Cardio is a great deterrent

I did 100 total reps over a year ago. Insane fun, isn't it? Eat big this week!

Thanks Big Al. The DOMS the day after are also a great deterrent.

Thanks Steve. It is in a weird sense. Mrs Squatter gave me hell for looking like I went thru a war zone. The bruises on my quads are big, brown, and nasty.

Awesome, Jim! Made 405 look easy. Nice punishment there too.

That Brian seems like a good motivator. I definitly wouldn't miss any bench attempts, though!!

Looking forward to you hitting that 315 bench.

thanks Mike!! I think next time I will go for 415X3. I was supposed to do triples only, not singles, but hey, I'm used to doing singles!! I will get that dang elusive 3PPS bench!!

SQUAT SESSION

Just wanted to get a quick fix since I didn't do squats last weekend of course, and I ain't going 2 weeks without squatting (I'll be on vacay in California starting Wednesday). The withdrawal alone would eat me up.

I was only maybe 70% recovered from that endless deadlift session on Sunday, and hammies were still sore. Thus, I was just focusing on staying tight and chest up and weight on heels and outer feet. Lower back was also not co-operating much, along with the knees being sore. However, by the 275 X5 set everything was feeling better. What better way to cure all the ailments than by shutting up and squatting? Besides, I could not in good conscious have a good time in Disneyland if I didn't get this session in. It was done at 8:30PM after I finished packing.

Squats
95 X5
115 X5
135 X5
165 X5
195 X5
225 X5
250 X5
275 X5
295 X5
315 X5

Wide Stance GM's
95 X5
115 X5
135 X8
135 X8
135 X8
135 X8
135 X8
