Yep those are the bands I was referring to. I'm not sure if that's what guys use for DE squats or not. I do know a lot of guys use them for DE bench. I'm sure someone will come along here and point you in the right direction.

**edit**
After looking at elitefts for a bit, it looks like the recommend either the pro monster mini, the pro light resistance or the pro average resistance bands for DE squats.
Thanks Big J!! It looks like they are all the same length, but provide diferent tensions. I reckon I would need a lighter tension band like the pro mini resistance for bench, and a stronger tension band for squats and deads, such as the pro monster mini or an even more tension on the pro average resistance band.

Not sure what to get. Maybe get all 3? I am sure Big Al will let me know!!

Here's the link to the selection!

So, do they watch your vids to check performance and training sessions on the days when you're not training with them?

No, not yet anyway Babs. They are not members of any forum that I know of either. I think we are basically on our own on the weekdays. However, I will ask him questions after the team trains and he has no issues with providing answers and advice at that time. For example, he showed me how to do GHR's properly last Sunday. I will have to ask him about the bands thios wekend

BENCH DAY WITH THE CREW

These guys are just superb lifters. I can't help but getting stronger just watching them. There is even a pro football player on the team, who I met and talked to a bit today. They pushed me to my absolute limit today, and I loved every split second of it. I have never had more than 270 lbs on the bench, boards or no boards. I am not deciding what i lift, they do.

Bench Press
Bar X Lots
95 X5
135 X5
165 X3
185 X3
205 X3
Add 2 Boards
225 X3
275 X3
295 X1
Add 3 Boards
315 X1
Minus All 3 Boards
225 X6 PR For Reps At This Weight
Had good speed and got a little bounce off of the boards, which I was supposed to do. Absolutely stunning benching today.

The Incline DB, Face Pulls, and Rope Pushdowns were all supersetted:

Incline DB Bench Press
55's X10
70's X10
70's X10
40's X11

Face Pulls
42.5 X12
42.5 X12
42.5 X12
37.5 X11

Rope Tricep Pushdowns
27.5 X10
27.5 X10
27.5 X10
32.5 X8

Completely burnt toast after this session, my first benching with the crew. After-wards, I asked Mario about the Bands for Dynamic work, and he said I will not need them for awhile - that I will be doing just free-form dynamic work for now. I asked him when I should buy the bands, and he grinned, and said they have chains.

Squats tomorrow. I think i will be doing Cleans for assistance.

Great benching Jim. 2 board work has good carryover for my raw bench so that should help you.

On bands when you do take the plunge I would go for mini bands for bench and double them up. For squat I would use light bands.

On your box squats your box needs to be lower, work in doubles and sit back more. Overload those hamstrings by getting your shins vertical or past vertical and then force your knees out, tense your glutes and hams and leg curl your way up and off the box.

Great work in here. I'm very excited to see the strength increases at your next meet.

thanks Big Al!! I will most definitely follow your advice with the mini bands and light bands for squat. Thanks so much.

Indeed, my Box Squats needed work. I did not have a lower box per se. The aerobic steps with risers I used to use are too low. The boys today fixed my box squat within 3 sets. I was also focusing in on your advice while doing them.

The vegas meet is going to be my best ever lifting.

I definitely was beaten and left for dead Steve - and I loved it. After each session with them, I get that heavenly relaxed feeling with 3 big white lights!!
