SQUAT/BENCH/DEADLIFT SESSION
I sure have a new appreciate for anyone who prepares for a meet. I actually feel like I am in one every time I lift. This heavy fullbody training is the biggest challenge I have ever faced. After every session I feel like I have been beaten by the mob and then a prison gang. I have never, ever worked so hard. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by the missed 425+Deadlift. The 405 went up so well, I thought for sure 425 would, but it didn't. It could very well be a subconscious mental issue. It has been said recently that one should keep pulling for dear life if it gets off the floor. I agree wholeheartedly that we are stronger than we realize. However, the risk of injury is there, and the last thing I want is to get injured before the meet, and have no meet at all. With that said, I do not think of that while I am pulling. I am pulling with all my might, at least I feel I am, and I am not thinking about anything else while doing so. It just doesn't seem to be happening for me right now with deads. I am stuck ata round 415, and I have absolutely no idea why. Next time I will go for 420 after the 405. I think baby steps on deads right now is my ticket. With all that said, it is certainly not a confidence issue with deads. 4PPS doesn't faze me one bit. I was going to call it a day after deads, but I decided to do some benching since my brother called and told me I didn't have to go to mom's house to paint today. The 250 paused bench PR made me forget all about my deadlift woes. I also got all emotional about it after shutting off the camera. I thought squats went very well today. The 355 was below parallel, and the 375 and 385 were parallel. However, I thought my form held up pretty good. It is much better now than when I last did this kind of weight. Sorry for the book and all the vids. I think you can get that 427. You were a bit tentative off the floor. My advice is to go for it and think "power clean". Focus on speed from the floor at all costs. The weight will either come up, or it won't, but you need to pull with speed.
