I have had DOMS everyday snce I started cycle 2 week 2 Steve. I gave this cycle absolutely everything I have and have been paying the price. I'm going to take the next few days off and then start cycle 3.

Thanks BIG Al. I do have more in me if low back was 100%. I will have to reconsider doing such heavy RDL's again, or alternate RDL's and deadlifts.

That's a killer workout - much respect. 5 X 10 squats after heavy pulling is no joke.

Thanks Tanner!! I am not sure why, but I really like to squat after deads. It makes all the pain go away and makes me feel good.

531 CYCLE 3 WEEK 1 DAY 1 PUSH PRESS

I wanted to go out of 2011 with a bang up session. I wanted more on my money set, but couldn't due to a "bodyquake" It really is like trying to OHP in an earthquake. I had to stop at 7 reps as it was just to risky to continue. This just made me angry enough to smash the rest of the session. I will take an extra day or 2 to recover before squats.

Push Press 531
(Goal) Actual
(115 X5) 115 X5
(132.5 X5) 132.5 X5
(150 X5) 150 X7

Power Cleans
160 X3
160 X3
160 X3
160 X3
160 X7
I thought form was better than last time. I am trying to get under the bar better and improve on the racking position. Hopefully, my coaching will begin after New Years.

Solid work on those push presses and power cleans Jim.

Have you ever considered taking a bit of a wider stance and with that, a wider grip on those cleans?

I used to clean with a narrower stance and grip as your doing, but not to long ago moved to a stance very close to that of my squat and a grip about 2.5"/thumbs length from the smooth part of the bar. Made a huge difference. More comfortable position to pull from, it shortened the distance the bar was needed to travel after hip extension and also shortened the distance my elbows had to be pushed forward. Which in turn make catching the bar much easier/quicker.
