DYNAMIC EFFORT UPPER Deep heat to lower back and shoulders Speed Bench Week 2 of 3 Bar x lots Add short black bands (+20kgs @top) Bar for 3 sets of 3 50kgs for 3 sets of 3 60kgs for 3 sets of 3 70kgs for 2 sets of 3 Next week will be lower volume again and then some heavier singles. Incline dumbell bench 30kgs for 2 sets of 12 Rolling Db extensions 15kgs for 3 sets of 10 DB rows 60kgs x 10 per side. Felt a tweak in my lower ab so didn't do any more sets. Better safe than sorry. Pull ups with neutral grip BW x 10 BW x 6 (grip fail) Hammer curls with 16kgs kettlebell hanging from doubled bands ss with light band tricep pushdowns 15 ss 40 20 ss 30 High row drop set to get some blood into back 45kgs per side x 10 DROP 20kgs per side x 25 Band stretches for back and shoulder Not a bad session tonight. Have been going without stims before dynamic sessions to stop me getting psyched up and burning out before max effort work. Tonight I was also training alone in an empty gym without angry music. All of this added up to more of a bodybuilding feel which is good as I should hopefully have a big max effort bench session at the weekend. Back was a bit tight today. Think I slept funny last night and then did a fair bit of driving to client sites which doesn't help. Need some soft tissue work and stretching and I'm sure it'll be fine. Haven't done incline work in a long time and they were a bit clunky on my left shoulder but no pain. In fact it feels like it has actually loosened it up some ![]() Wanted to do at least one more set of rows but after feeling something funky in my lower abs I played it safe and put some lighter volume work in. Finished with some gun work and band stretches for shoulders and back. All done in about 55minutes. Fastest session for a while probably due to low rest times. Back on schedule and in for dynamic lower tomorrow before smashing some weekend benching. Now it's rest time though. LtL |
