Ummmmm..... I know everyone is joking about placating wives and what not. So all in good fun, rock on.
However, if you are in the doghouse because of some middle of the night slackness, be sure you deserve the punishemnt. Who was supposed to get up? etc? I'm saying, did you divvy up the jobs during the night BEFORE you went to sleep? First feeding, second feeding, cuddling back to sleep, etc. If so, then if you slacked, you owe big time. But if you are winging it, as so many new parents do, then you owe nothing. My wife and I devised a system where I handled all the issues before 1 Am, then she handled everything after 1 am. That worked for us and we each got solid sleep for at least one half the night. Just saying you might need to stake out some boundries or you might become a whipping boy. Sleep is sleep. Gold comes and goes. But sleep is king. |

Deep heat to lower back, bit of stretching 60kg's x lots 100kg's x 5 130kg's x 1 sumo, 1 conv Add chalk 160kg's x 1 sumo, 1 conv Add belt 185kg's x 2 200kg's x 2 215kg's x 2 PBR Leg Press 175kg's x 10 225kg's x 10 265kg's x 10 (Probably a PB as I never do these) Strapless double overhand shrugs ss Standing Ab' Crunches 100kg's x 15 ss 30 100kg's x 10 + 10 seconds hold ss 20 100kg's x 10 + 10 seconds hold ss 19 Lying Leg Raises to failure 30 Awesome session today. Only took about 55minutes as I knew I had a deadline to get back for another family lunch. Did not feel ready to heavy deadlifts at all beforehand but once I got in and lifting, I started to feel strong around 185kg's. 215kg's was hard but good. Feels like there's more in there as well. Grip slipped a little on the second rep' at 215 so I held it at lockout to make sure that I had it (Video to follow)Leg Press was good and again there's plenty more in there as well. Going to keep hammering those on DL day to overload the quad's. Did lightweight shrugs for two reasons: 1. I wanted to train my grip as well as my trap's 2. I can't be bothered loading up 6+pps for 2 sets, only to unrack and put it all away again 5 minutes later. Lastly I don't know what's wrong with me but I am really enjoying training my ab's At least I deadlifted a PB to make up for it ![]() Off to shower and get the house ready for visitors now.
