![]() Long story short: I worked out for about 5yrs (went from 130lbs to 180lbs in the first yr), then quit for a couple years and lost all the muscle i gained. Ya im a genius. Thankfully i got back into it again a couple yrs ago, but sadly i havent taken strength training seriously this time around so im weak as hell. Add to this the fact that for the last 4 months ive had a mysterous illness that Drs cant seem to find the cause of (chronic fatigue/ fibromayalgia or something with similar symptoms- fatigue, muscle weakness, not sleeping well, anxiety etc) and its like im starting from scratch all over again. But this time i have this illness to contend with so my strength is worse than most beginners. Feel free to LOL at the fact that im down to 140lbs (about 9% bf) and squatting about 100lbs for 5 reps. :s Its pathetic, but i have no where to go but up (i hope) and who knows maybe the ridicule will help me push harder..lol. IDK if/when ill be over these issues, but im hoping that im finally on the path to recovery and that ill be able to build some strength and add some mass while getting back to my former healthy and energetic self. My goals are simple. To gain strength, muscle (without getting too fat), and better health using strength and conditioning training, proper nutrition, positive thinking and anything else that i find helps my mental and physical well being. I plan to use this log in a few different ways: -To motivate myself and possibly others. -To keep myself honest and on track so i dont jump from one routine or goal to another like i have the last couple years. -To learn as much as i can so i can be a great PT and help others. -To post funny/intersting/positive stuff i find worth sharing. -To make friends and have fun. Im thinking of using this as my workout. Done 2 or 3 times a week depending on recovery.
Workout A 3×5 Squat 3×5 Bench Press 1×5 Deadlift 3×8 Chin-ups 2×10 Calf Raise Workout B 3×5 Squat 3×5 Standing Military Press 3×5 Bent Rows 3×8 Dips 3×20 Sit Ups

So did i. And i got decently strong and well built, but then i quit working out for 2 years and when i got back into it i just did it more for general fitness, health and for fun. Its time i got serious, i just hope that my health alows me to.
