Likewise. I'd be royally screwed if it wasn't for everyone helping me as well, especially training at 4:00AM alone. Funny how it is that I never feel alone tho.

Some excellent points by GL back there.

Certainly if I were building up I would limit the number of exercises as well. Just keep adding weight, it'll come.

I toying with the idea of concentrating on pulling movements with squats and oh pressing secondary. I want to do the oly lifts, so ill do them relatively light then break the move down into its different components and train them too. then do a bit of assistance like pullups, dips and rows...

Gl has helped me with a few routines and has never put me wrong so far, so i tend to listen

My schedule has calmed down a bit now so i should be in the gym 3 days per week now so im hoping to do 5-6 movements per session for a total of about 23 sets, but some of these will be the ramping sets for 5x5's so probably less than 20 real work sets per session over 5-6 movements sounds about right i think

Just keep on lifting C, for a strong and thick back I would to bb rows and rack deads from sticking point once now and then, and do them with a 5-6s slow negative. Blasts every muscle of your back you did not know were there, and carries over to the dl too. Dont know how to fit it into a fullbody template though :P

Good luck buddy!

Carl,

Like we have talked about, it is important to find a good balance so as not to over work your lower back. here is what I was doing, when I was not doing the full clean or snatch.

MON
Deadlifts 5x5
Front squats 5x5
Snatch grip BHNP 5x5
Wide grip chins 5x
Dips 5x

WED
Snatch grip high pulls 5x3
Overhead squats 5x5
Front push press 5x5
Underhand grip pullups 5x
Dips 5x

Friday
Clean grip high pulls/ or deadlifts 5x3
Front squats 5x5
Snatch grip BHNP 5x5
Wide grip chins 5x
Dips 5x

The high pulls are still done as an explosive movement, and although you need to do them a little lighter, they still hit you very hard.

Wednesdays session is actually a good chest workout due to the combination of the moves. Try it, and you will be surprised at how much your actually working your chest.

Overall I really liked this program and will continue to perform it as I work back into lifting as my life settles down.

Thats Swede... its a nightmare fitting in everything i want to do lol. If i could do 15 different routines on a continuous loop and make progress that I think i would be OK lol

Gonna give this a go for a bit and see how it feels... what do you think ? its pretty much the same as what Gl posted, but with a couple of minor changes, plus Ill be doing technique work for the snatch and the clean at the begining of two of the days... these will be done light as the rest of the routine should work all the various components of each lift anyway

MON
Deadlifts 3x3 + Singles
Front squats 5x5
Snatch grip BHNP 5x5
Wide grip chins 5xAMAP
Dips 5x10

WED
Snatch 3x6-8 (light)
Snatch grip high pulls 5x3
Overhead squats 3x5
Front push press 5x5
Underhand grip pullups 5xAMAP
Dips 5x10 or Bench 5x5

Friday
Clean grip high pulls 5x3
Back Squats 5x5 (or should i leave as FS ?)
Snatch grip BHNP 5x5
Wide grip chins 5xAMAP
Dips 5x10

Carl.

^ Program looks very intense Carl. I have to say, seeing programs like that really excite me. I need to find a way to do Olympic lifts and overhead squats.
