Power clean/Press+2 front squats
1- 3 rep @ 20 lb 2- 3 rep @ 30 lb 3- 3 rep @ 40 lb 4- 3 rep @ 45 lb 5- 2 rep @ 45 lb - I really like this lift especially the power clean and press. Ca't believe i never tried the power clean before. Overhead squat 1- 6 @ 20 lb 2- 6 @ 20 lb 3- 6 @ 20 lb - I could have gone for more weight but i was focusing on my form. DB Rows 1- 8 @ 20 lb 2- 8 @ 25 lb 3- 8 @ 30 lb - 30 lb was kind of easy, could have used more weight on these OHP 1- 10 @ 30 lb 2- 10 @ 40 lb - Last set was a killer shoulders burned a lot. Bench 1- 10 @ 70 lb 2- 8 @ 80 lb - I would say my form was excellent on this, i went down held the contraction for 2 sec then lifted it up slowly. rep timing was about 3 2 3 BB curl 1- 10 @ 35 lb 2- 8 @ 40 lb - form was a little of because last rep for the 2nd set i had to swing my body a little to get the bar up. Grade- A Week- 1 Date- THU JAN 27 Notes : first day of this routine and it was pretty good. I sweated a lot today. Squats depth is getting lower but not half way yet. I really love the power clean and press move. Just sad i couldn't deadlift but Monday will be the day i get to deadlift.

Get some vids of your clean lfits, and the overhead squat.
There should not be a reason you can not do a full squat at BW. This is a form issue, and maybe a hamstring flexability issue. The goblet squat that Dan John talks about is a great way to work on getting down into the squat position. We'll get this sorted out. |
