You may not want to make a habit of pausing at the bottom of your squats.
Your CNS is primed as your descending and your coiled and ready to unleash. When you pause your telling your body to relax, that the work is over. With a light weight it's not a big deal, but get nearer to your max and you may find yourself stuck in the hole.

thanks gl, always wise, yes i never do this with higher weights toward my max but on a deload week i thought i would try it, but after reading this about the CNS it is true is hould just explode back up, whats the best ways to activate the CNS

Post your questions in threads, it is better for site traffic.
Google picks up on keywords in threads and that can generate better numbers for MAB in the longrun. I also stay very busy with my job, and with my family. Some days I have lots of time to be on, and other days, not so much. If you post in a thread other people can respond as well, and, we can have various viewpoints and a better overall level of discourse. |
