When in doubt, don't get a cold. Also, my hips feel like shit on the front, mainly my left, hip flexor area. Squatting was hell, but deadlifting was 100% not affected.

Default Training Update

Thanks to everyone for your support. I have been considering where to take my training following the terrible session I had on Saturday. There will be some alterations in my training, namely:
  • Lowering of squat weight
  • More work on my hip and lower back health
  • I considered some alterations to Pump Phase, but for now, I'm leaving that as Hepburn expressed.
  • Lowering the increase rate of squats to 5 lbs.

I find every 4th week to be too frequent for deloads, I rarely felt they were necessary when I used them back during my initial phase with 5/3/1. Right now, It seems my body just reacted to the cold, and my slacking towards hip work. In today's training, some hip internal rotation work and supercouch, I found my squatting to be a tad difficult, and slightly off on form, but quite low pain. On the upside, my deadlifting couldn't be better.
