I mix up wrist roller, Captains of Crush and the occasional wrist curl / forearm curl. I have those iron mind rubber bands for finger extensions, but I forget to use them.

I like his routine for the no frills, hard training, approach. It is a strength and power focus, in my opinion, which is what I like. I am after the coveted 300, 400, 500 goal. He carefully chooses exercises that complement each other. You hit it hard two days a week and rest and recover. I need to throw in some cardio too.

Default Deadlift day

Today is workout 2 of Christy's routine.

Warmed up for 15 minutes on the elliptical.
Went outside for Presses
OHP: 1 x 5 x 95, 1 x 5 x 135, 1 x 5 x 145, 2 x 5 x 155, 1 x 5 x 160
Curls: 1 x 5 x 70, 1 x 5 x 90, 1 x 5 x 100
Close grip press: 1 x 5 x 185, 1 x 5 x 225, 1 x 5 x 230
Deadlift: 1 x 5 x 135, 1 x 3 x 230
Had to stop. The ab strain was hurting too much. Damn. I studied up on Rippetoe's Deadlift chapter.
Wrist Roller: up and down with 40 pounds
Side Bends: 1 x 10 x 50

I had the day off unexpectedly. Decided to workout a day early. Damn this ab strain. It feels better except for when I try to deadlift.

Numbers are looking strong, especially the pressing movements. How many sets are you planning on using for each movement? I know Christy suggests a range so I wasn't sure if you planned on trying to hit the max on some and minimum on others...

For the Squat, Bench, Chins, Presses, Deadlift I plan to do 3 sets of 5. On all others 1 - 2 sets.
