Time to Cut
Starting 5/3/1 on Monday, August 23. As of right now I am thinking of running Boring but Big
Chest Bench Bench 5sets X 10 reps @ 50% 1RM Incline Bench Deads Deads Deads 5 X 10 @ 50 Good Mornings Strict Military Press Military Press Military Press 5 X 10 @ 50 Rear Delt Flyes Squats Squats Squats 5 X 10 @ 50 Leg Press Wave A. Warmup, 75% x 5, 80% x 5, 85% x 5 Wave B. Warmup, 80% x 3, 85% x 3, 90% x 3 Wave C. Warmup, 75% x 5, 85% x 3, 95% x 1 Wave D. Deload wave – 60% x 5, 65% x 5, 70% x 5 Those are the percentages I'm using for my main lifts. |
Max Day
Max Day at the gym today to get my 1RM for all of my main lifts. The only problem was, it wasn't a very good day in the gym. I don't think I ate very well today and it effected my lifts :(. But I am going to use them anyway because I know it was pretty close to what my 1RM would be on a good day.
Bench 225 Deads 375 Military Press 135 Squats 300 I was really struggling with 225 today even though I got it easily last week. I got 315 like butter on deads, but I couldn't get 405. 375 was a good weight for me. I just started doing military press so I'm happy with 135. I definitely got past parallel on squats. I slowly went down until my spotter told me I got it. I had to get a little help with 315 and failed the second time, so I didn't count it. I'm really looking forward to starting this program to see where it takes my numbers. P.S. I guess I'm in the 900 club. |
Good luck with this. I think the BBB template is a good one to start. I did it for a while and it was definitely harder than I expected at the time.

good luck man looks solid. i believe on deadlift day he recommends doing 5x8 at 50% after the main lift idk why it's not 5x10 but just sayin. maybe cause deadlifts are more taxing :confused:
but good luck and make sure to use 90% of your max when calculating the numbers and hit it hard! |

Thanks BTB, I was more frustrated with my bench than anything else. I felt I should have gotten at least 240.
