Cardio I was determined to jog three laps around the park near my house. 15:15.5. Leaving on a mini vacay with the family tomorrow afternoon. I want to try to lift before we leave. That way I'll only have to scramble to lift one time while we're away.

Easier said than done my boy. Five of us in a hotel room for three nights and four days. Too many malls to go to. Too many pools to jump in. Not enough beer in the world. I miss my wife. Gotta get away. Just me and her.

Thank you mate. I will enjoy. I'm going to try to squeeze in a couple of sessions, and maybe a run or two. There is an adequate gym near where we are staying. I'll be able to OHP and squat. Treadmill in the hotel fitness center. Other than that, we're just going to have fun with the family. If the kids don't kill each other first.

I Have Been Exposed
Friends, I have been exposed as a fraud and a sham. For that I must deeply and humbly apologize. The other morning as my Mrs. and I were at the table enjoying our coffee, I had my gym notebook, and calculator diligently scribbling on the pages. "What are you doing?" my wife asked. "Just planning out my next 5-3-1 cycle," I said. "What?" "My workouts. I'm planning my workouts, and figuring how much I have to lift." "Well, Why so many pages?" Well Dear, I'm scripting my next sixteen workouts." "Oh...my...God! This isn't about lifting weights, is it? Its about working with numbers, right?" "RIGHT?" I'm afraid she's partially correct. This pursuit beings out the inner math geek in me. Thursday, 9/1/11 Boys, remind me that once I build my home gym, THE VERY FIRST PIECE OF EQUIPMENT I PUT IN IS A CHIN BAR. A straight freakin' parallel to the floor and wall freakin' chin bar. On vacation. The gym I visited last night had no place to do chins, except for a assisted station with this ergonomic crap for a bar. Gotta put your hands in an unGodly unnatural position to do chins. So I skipped them. I'm sorry. In retrospect, I could have and should have done pulldowns or something. Kind of. There are a couple of neutral grips which are perfectly placed, but otherwise everything is spread out too wide and at goofy angles.
