The band hasn't terminated just yet, but I think its terminal. Long time a-coming. Interesting. Last week we were on a 60'x80' stage in front of 5,000 people opening for a national act. Last night we're on a 8' wide flatbed trailer at the intersection of two county roads in rural Minnesota playing to 25 drunks standing in line by the porta-potty. Don't get me wrong, my friend. It isn't always that glamorous.

Workout 2.3.2 Squat 45x5 105x5 135x5 160x5 200x5 225x3 250x5 Superset Leg Press 250x10x5 Prone Leg Curls 90x10x3 100x10 - oops! Someone else was using the machine, and I forgot to reselect my weight 90x10 Good Girls 70x20 Bad Girls 70x20 I did a very thorough job stretching out afterwards. We'll see if that helps me out. I've been reading Stretch to Win. The authors advocate undulating stretching, and working on target areas. Turns out the stretches my eight year old should be doing for hockey goaltending are some of the same stretches I need to be doing to work on hip/lower back/hamstring/adductor mobility. I see much daddy-daughter time.

Thanks Carl. Actually the keybaord player and I along with a former guitar player of ours are looking at a blues project. Sort of an urban blues and soul revue. Three or four horns. Big fat black guy on vocals, etc. THis current band has some life in it, but honestly after the other night, i don't know if I'll stick around after the end of this year. We're booked pretty good until December right now, but then nothing until late spring. Might be a good time for them to retool.

Sounds like your band already has a full complement of tools! HA! J/K. Many of my friends and family have been in bands, and it seems all of them just have an implosion point. Well, unless they're like the Stones or something where they are a cash cow, and they have enough handlers to wheel the corpses out at each venue to rake in the dough.
I like your Blues idea. I'm sensing lots of good stories about this new band in the future. ![]() Oh, and nice Squats! I like your enthusiasm for chinups too! Next year, you'll be repping 10 and look back at sets of 1 with pride. |

Amen! And diligence now will reap benefits later. I regret not attacking chinups all along. Do I love doing them? No way, Jose! But I'm liking what they do.
Well, I'm going in to bench press tonight. I FUBARed my back at work yesterday. Might be a short night.
