I spent about an hour this morning clearing my driveway, then my neighbor's driveway. Snowblowers are cool, but they can only do so much. And they're no match against the hump that the city snowplow leaves at the end of the driveway. It's cool owning a house and all, but it also has its drawbacks. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't. I did my weekly hunting and gathering at Super Wal-Mart this week. They ended up closing yesterday afternoon, and had a bunch of close dated meat. I availed myself of some really great deals. The bill was high, but we're set for a couple of weeks. Hockey practice this afternoon. The eight year old is progressing very well. She's one of only two girls in Level 3 Mites, and she's holding her own damn nicely. Daddy's so proud. Tonight's training. Squat 45x5 80x5 110x5 130x5 145x5 - felt good, I'm going to try to progress by 10 pounds next week. BP 45x5 70x5 90x5x5 70x8 45x8 Pendlay Rows 45x5 70x5 90x5x5 70x5 45x5 Treadmill 25:00 1.94 miles

That's the way its going to be for a while, until my right shoulder feels better and I get back to full strength.

Glad to hear your daughter is in hockey. We have a big female following locally. My wife's boss is a female player. Workouts are looking good Val.

Who said I'm paranoid? I've got to know. You guys talking about me behind my back? What's going on?

Wednesday 12/15/10
I can't find my freakin' notebook. I took it out of my gym bag for some reason, and now I can't find it. Its got to be in the house somewhere. The big kids know enough not to mess with it. The two year old? Eh, probably not interested. Fortunately, the current training is simple, and I can easily remember my numbers from my last lift, so... Squat 45x5 80x5 110x5x2 OHP 20x5 45x5x5 - bare naked oly bar. Time to add weight, and reach for the stars. Deadlift 135x5 160x5 180x5 205x5 225x5 Treadmill 25:00 1.95 miles - after a few minutes of walking, I kicked it up to 6.2 mph. A couple of minutes into the jog, I thought I was gonna die, but I persevered and lasted for a full 10 minutes of trotting. I'm feeling really good about my chances of finishing a 5k with a respectable time. I've got over two months to train.

Won't be long and the work outs/weights won't be as easy to remember. Love the dedication Val.
