Squat: 405, 425, 445

^ good lift, good lift, good lift

- The 445 was slightly over a 4lb PR (gym or meet). That 3rd attempt was probably the most brutal (and ugly) squat I ever completed, in a gym or meet, at least as far as I can remember. It also was basically a good morning once I started coming back up out of the hole.




Bench Press: 225, 245, 255

^ good lift, good lift, no lift

- The 245 was a 2.5lb PR (gym or meet). It was tough, but not nearly as difficult as the 445 squat. I failed the attempt with 255, about halfway up.




Deadlift: 495, 540, 550

^ good lift, good lift, good lift

- The 540 was a 5lb PR (meet), and the 550 was a 15lb PR (meet) or 10lb PR (using my 540 gym lift). I smoked the 540 like it was my opener. The 550 was a grinder near the top, but not as taxing as the 445 squat.




Result: 1240 @ 163.8

- I took first place in the Raw Amateur (drug-tested) 165 division. The 1240 total was a 55lb PR and very satisfying. It puts me on the PowerliftingWatch.com raw rankings for the total which I've been trying to do for a few years. That's also 58lbs away from a raw elite total. My friends Tony Gilgamesh (BodybyGamma) and Will Song competed in this meet too. They both did well.
