I will detail my approach a bit later after the kiddies hit the hay. I am calling this training style big and dumb. It's simple, and far from rocket science. 02/16/2010: Shoulders Workout Time: 50 minutes Workout Grade: A+ Probably the best shoulder workout I've had in quite some time. My shoulders were still feeling a little beat up from heavy squats 10 (or so) days ago, so I switched to military presses to relieve some of the strain. Great pumps. My shoulders are a pile of rubble right now. Seated Military Press - 2 minutes between sets 135 x 10 155 x 8 175 x 5 175 x 4 155 x 7 155 x 6 155 x 5 135 x 7 135 x 6 135 x 6 Rear Laterals - 60 seconds rest between sets 30's x 10/10/10/10/10 Seated Military Press 95 x 20

Here's my Big and Dumb approach:
Monday Back Tuesday Shoulders Wednesday Crap (Calves-Traps-Biceps) Thursday OFF Friday Legs Saturday Chest + Triceps Sunday OFF I will be pretty much sticking to one movement throughout the workout, and finishing with a 5x5 or 5x10 for smaller muscle groups. Workouts will look like: Back - Deadlift plus 5 sets of secondary back exercise. Shoulders - Overhead press plus 5 sets of rear laterals. Legs - Squats/Front Squats plus a 5x5 on Romanian deadlifts. Chest - Bench plus a 5x5 on CGBP or DB Bench. CRAP - Whatever I feel like doing.

I am in for this BTB, looks like a solid approach. I like the focus of one big movement a day. I think it will really help your overall strength, and help your compound movements a lot. Great stuff

Thanks Jwood. I have such ADD when it comes to training. And to be honest, I really don't like to do much other than the big lifts any way.
