There is something magical about 10 reps sets on the bench. Once I cross it, soreness follows. Looking good Big V.

What do you smoke? A few years ago, my brother was dating a girl who spent a January Term at college studying in Cuba. For some reason, she was allowed to bring back a certain amount of cigars. I was able to get my hands on a genuine Havana Cohiba. I saved it for a very special occasion. It was like puffing on a cloud. Quote:
Tuesday, 2/16/09 I walked that fine line between the pain of discipline and the pain of regret tonight. It dawned on me AFTER my workout that the Wendler 5/3/1 deadlift workout will NEVER get any easier. I was haunted by thoughts of leaving too much in the tank - of leaving ANYTHING in the tank. I repped out on deads satisfied with my efort, until I unstrapped myself from the bar. "Did I have another rep - two reps?" "Was that really all I could give?" I was both satisfied and sickened with my effort. I'll never get this workout back. Deadlift Warmup (135x5 185x3) 215x5 250x5 280x10 Close Parallel Grip Pulldown 150x9 150x7 150x5 - I'm wondering if I didn't overestimate the weight. I was pulling more with my arms than my back. I think I may drop weight next time. Anyone with thoughts? T-Bar Row 90x8x2 90x6 - Same as above. My back might benefit from using lighter weight. Good Mornings 95x12x2 Machine Crunches 65x20x2 65x11 I was completely fatigued afterwards, so much so that I hardly had the strength to go to the supermarket and pick up Pop-Tarts ($1.09/box). At that price I can afford to try the Cinnamon Roll variety. The workout took me 45 minutes, which kind of blows my time limit out of the water. A couple of things to consider though, 1) I had to take a potty break (number one) between a couple of DL sets; and 2) I had to wait for the T-Bar aparatus while my "very good friend" was standing on the platform talking on his cell. Both breaks cost me about three minutes. Not too bad. I can live with it. If I have to chop anything from this workout, I think I'll chop GM's, as I already do SLDL's on squat day. We'll see how it goes.

Good question. I've got other things to do. By necessity I have to lift in the evenings, after dinner. After I lift it takes me a while to "come down." It interferes with my beauty sleep. Nothing is set in stone though, I just don't want to live at the gym. It goes like this: lift, protein shake, internet, shower, quick bite to eat, TV, bed. As it goes, I don't get to bed until 11:00 (on a good night), tonight it'll be closer to midnight or later. I wish things could be different, but they aren't.
I would also add that there is the matter of intensity (amount of work over a period of time). I have no problem in taking my time on the major lifts, but the rest of the workout I would like to try HIT style as much as possible. 40 - 45 minutes is about all my tired old body and feeble old mind can take.

Looking good, I wish I could get in and out of the gym in 1 hour normally the shortest workouts end up being 2 hours. Had to miss a gym day today because of school assignments I forgot were do. Anyhow If I am going to rant any more, might as well put it in my rant log.
